  1. I’ve upgraded desktop PCs that I’ve built, but this is the first time I’ve upgraded a laptop besides the memory. Went from an HDD to an SSD. I’m doubling the memory this week. All so I can go to school and learn new coding languages. Woot!

  2. Christoph Willibald Gluck, a notable composer of operas, was born July 2, 1714, in Germany’s Upper Palatinate. His best-known opera is probably Orfeo ed Euridice, which he translated to French as Orphee et Euridice, which I saw a couple of years ago at the Des Moines Metro Opera, which performs in Indianola, not Des Moines (at least for the big performances in the summer). Some of you may, at some point, have heard the dance of the blessed spirits from it when you weren’t listening to Queen or the Monkees or somebody like that. In any event, here it is:
