Remember that first live action SpiderMan TV show? The main special effect was having a stunt man in a Spidey suit jump backwards off a building, then they would run the tape in reverse to make it look like he jumped up. Very lame.
I don’t, oddly enough. Was it contemporaneous with “Batman,” or was it later, around the time of “Wonder Woman”? Or even later?
I don’t remember any live-action Spiderman, just the cartoon Superfriends or whatever-it-was-called, with Aquaman. To which I might as well add, Race Bannon and Johnny Quest were a waste of Saturday morning bandwith. Hadji and Bandit I could live with.
It was very short- lived – Wikipedia says 13 episodesa – and not that great. It was in the 70s along with Wonder Woman and The Incredible Hulk. I mostly remember it because it featured a lot of shots of the Twin Towers, which were only a few years old at the time, but already iconic as a “This is set in New York City” establishing shot.
Whew. If it’s true when people say “I saved two hours by not watching that dreck,” then I must have saved up a second lifetime.
Where’s the coupon redemption?
