Friday Night Open Thread

I love Weird Al.

I know, I always start Friday Night Open Thread with that sentence, and not much else. So, why the something else tonight?

No reason at all. Well, maybe to point out why I do that. In these subsequent two paragraphs, I haven’t added any value with what I’ve written. So, when I go back to using just that one short sentence next Friday night, you’ll understand that there’s really nothing more to add. I love Weird Al.

  1. I’ve been thinking about zombies.

I think we can all agree that they are highly motivated.

And driven. Driven by what is in their best interest. They persist in their window-smashing because they’re so driven.

So, I imagine that when they recognize (at some visceral level, like how they avoid fire and acting) the risk inherent in eating living humans, they will decide that they don’t want to risk getting the coronavirus and dying and coughing all over again. They’ll avoid the living like tainted meat.

They will therefore look for a food source that is certified, guaranteed pre-December-2019.

    And what would that be?

Dead people. Pre-December-2019 dead people, to be precise.

So they’ll eat them, eradicating the supply of future zombies.

    Problem solved!

Solved, that is, as long as we kill off these last well-fed zombies. And killing zombies is pretty much our specialty, if movies are any indication. Especially if they’re afraid of us. It was their regeneration that was the whole underlying problem. Not a problem with coronavirus on our side.
