Arizona gives Democrats a taste of their own sanctuary medicine

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed a gun rights law this week that preemptively protects gun owners in the state from any federal gun control laws that are passed, according to reports.
The Second Amendment Freedom Act was signed two days before President Biden announced several executive actions, including asking the Justice Department to propose a rule to stop “ghost guns,” which are “kits” people can buy legally, then assemble to create a functioning firearm without a serial number.
“That was a proactive law for what is possible to come out of the Biden administration,” Ducey told KTAR-FM radio in Glendale, Ariz., on Wednesday, adding the bill doesn’t change any current laws.
Ghost gun…right. And Scrabble games should be either banned or regulated, because someone may construct something mean with all those letters and offend someone.

No such thing as a “ghost gun”. On a rifle, the lower receiver is the part that has the serial number on it, as it is the one that is considered essential to firing. If you buy a lower receiver from a retail gun dealer, you have to pass the background check. If you have all the parts except a lower receiver, you’ve got a lot of parts that won’t shoot bullets (although the barrel may be effective as a club).

Then they came for the so called assault guns and I did not speak out—
Because I was not the owner of a so called assault gun.
Then they came for my guns—and there was no gun owners left to speak for me.
Then they came for my guns… but they all had an unfortunate kayak accident…
You can buy 80% lower receivers (legally in most states) and drill/mill them yourself. No serial numbers on any parts but just don’t get caught using one. I know at least three people who have done this and while all have concealed carry permits and are law abiding citizens, they have an extreme distrust of state and federal governments when it comes to gun rights. If you are interested in this subject at all there is plenty of info online and dealers that sell kits, minus the actual drill press.
And just like that, machine shops are illegal.
