Any Army Veterans Among Our Tight Little Group?

— and by “tight,” I mean in the positive, not the negative, sense. Unless applicable.

If so, happy 250th! You carried on George Washington’s legacy… Valley Forge and Crossing the Delaware, and D-Day.

Oh, you Navy and Marine guys did, too. Don’t tell the Army guys I said that.

You Air Force guys can’t be carrying on Washington’s legacy for obvious reasons. Space Force? Please.

I never served. I never put my life on the line for the whole country. That makes me personally a pusscake by comparison. But my dad rose to LT 1C (Airborne) in the army. Dues paid?

  1. Ex-Navy here. But I have a retired Army son who made a huge difference for everyone he served with.

But just remember. If you think humans on this planet are rational, they’re not. Barbarism rules the day. And it takes strong, confident, moral men to stop it.

  2. Retired from the Army 12 years ago, though I never got sent anywhere people were using live ammo at anything but inanimate objects.

Yes, I will take it as a personal insult if you participate in a “No Kings” protest tomorrow. Your irrational hatred of a man who only wants to honor a quarter millennium of the greatest i situation the world has ever known demeans the service of every soldier who ever served.
