The Democrats’ Big Problem

Many, if not most, of those who will be voting in Democratic primary believe blacks are an inferior race, or at least, that more studies should be made about that possibility.
That to me is the moral equivalent of what the Democrats face with their Truther problem. Those who deep down believe that the government caused 9/11 or let it happen or at least as morally invidious as passionate racists. While we have a freedom of speech, there are some views that any moral man or woman should loudly condemn when they come up.
The problem is that, since Thruthers makes up such a large segment of the politically motivated Democrat base, if a Democratic candidate said to the Truthers what is deserved to be said to them, it would greatly hurt his or her chances in the primary. I find it hard to believe with all the pictures I’ve seen of Truthers holding signs up at campaign rallies that any could be ignorant of this problem, yet Edwards seemed to be caught off guard when asked a question by one of these losers (I think “losers” is the best description as what motivates conspiracy theorists is that they can’t find importance in their own life so they seek it in fantasy).
So, with the widespread, blame-America first views that infect the Democratic Party, what is a Democrat to do? Convincing hardcore Truthers the silliness of their views is not an option because facts do not faze their belief system (“Fire can’t melt steel!”). The Democrats are left with the option to patronize these people (“Sure. We’ll have some investigation into whether the Negro race is advanced enough to coexist with whites.”) and hope the views don’t spread or you can publicly and loudly shame these people until they fear speaking their views in a public forum. Again, such condemnation could alienate a large number of Democrats who are planning to vote in the primary, but it’s what the country needs even if it’s not good for the campaign. Also, it would be presidential.

  1. The Democrat’s party big problem is a support base that believes every conspiracy theory about the “Vast Right-wing Cospiracy” that comes along. Yet they can’t seem to fathom the real conspiracies perpetuated by former Prez BJ Clinton & Co-Prez Hillary, Vice Prez & wascally inventor Gore and their ‘Friends of Bill’ network.
That network included former DOE Sec’y, UN Ambassador & current Presidential hopeful Bill Richardson who, during his stint as Energy secretery, allowed his department to sell a multi-million dollar national security supercomputer to a Chinese national for 300 times less than it’s cost. Right here in NM.
Thanks to the former DOE secretery, guess which government recieved not only said computer, but also highly classified info on the most advanced ICBM’s? (hint: lots of it’s constituents live in Beijing)
If you’re someone who is undecided about Hillary, Barack or Bill R., the choice is clear:
    VOTE REPUBLICAN

  2. I fail too see how this is their big problem, and any different than their base distancing of Hippys, Vegetarians, Abortion Jockeys, Wimps, Man-to-Man Marrige Matrons, Ugly Women, Hellspawn, Carnie Folk, Mutants, Aquaman, Kos Kids, Child Molestors, and Surrender Monkeys.
It’s a full time job you know.

  3. tbard,
A truther is a professional-protestor, conspiracy-theory-addicted, frothing-at-the-mouth, BDS-suffering moonbat who lives to “speak truth to power”.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: You’re daft!

  4. The entire platform is based on one illogical concept.
    MULTICULTURALISM
The premise of this idiocy is that “anything goes”, no matter how putrid or obnoxious. When carried to the level advocated by the Lefties, no one has the right to tell an idiot that he is an idiot, and any lifestyle is acceptable without need for justification.
This allows all of the above groups to co-exist, by simply refusing to question one anothers ideals and lifestyles. This is the only way that some of these groups could coexist. By refusing to question each other, theyfeel that no one has the right to question them.

  5. Fred Thompson knows this about democRATs and is NOT happy with them about it! They shall pay for their stupid beliefs and for letting uppity negroes run for President within their party!

  6. A “Truther” is specifically a 9/11 conspiracy theorist.
I used to think that people who dress up as Klingons were the lowest form of life on Earth, until I met a real live “Truther”.

  7. Being totally surrounded by liberals most of my life, I would have to disagree with your premise that the Truthers are central to the Democratic party. Historically they havent been, though this election cycle is different. Their traditional strength is on college campuses and all those that hang around. Most Truthers don’t vote period, or if they do they waste it on somebody like Ralph Nader. Typically the Democratic party is way too far to the right for Truthers. I would be a little careful about calling them commies either even if they are dependent on the welfare state. They have more in common with Abbie Hoffman and John Lennon than Leon and Vladimir.
I give the inner city folks some slack even though they believe in this crap too. They are getting screwed by society and no one has a solution for them. You’ll beleive anything if you’ve been given a steady diet of bullshit.

  8. I had a true-to-life encounter with a Truther once. I was browsing the video game section of a CompUSA when a wild-eyed woman dressed in hippy clothes and smelling of petrulli oil walked up to me covertly and started to speak in hushed tones. “Hi, how are you doing?” she asked with eyes darting back and forth to see if the Bushies were watching her again. “Uh…ok” I answered making sure I had a clear route to the exit if this nut-ball went ballistic. She then reached into the pocket of her dirty jean jacket and produced a DVD labeled with “the truth about 911” or some such crap. “You should watch this” she said conspiratorially. The shifting eyes never stopped darting around the place as if she was certain that some if not all of the three-lettered agencies were about to jump her at any minute with a one-way ride to Gitmo. I thanked her for the info and backed away slowly.

  9. The fact is that the Demon-cratic party is and always has been the party of SLAVERY. Be it people or ideal they march like Nazi’s in lockstep and Katie-bar-the -door if any one disagrees with them.
The 9/11 nonsense goes along with the rest of their stupid ideas. Now they think terrorists are going to use global warming to attack us, soooo we need to stop worrying about REAL LIVE enemies and start worrying about something no one can really prove.
Typical, stupid, ignorant, asinine, ridiculous, but sadly typical.

  10. “A “Truther” is specifically a 9/11 conspiracy theorist.”
I don’t know if I’d get that specific. Oliver Stone and Michael Moore were Truthers long before 9/11. Shirley McLain’s been a Truther ever since space aliens bugged her telephone back in the 60’s

  11. I got curious and snooped out some things that are so absurd and outrageous they are almost funny:
The Mormon church leaders said that blacks could go to heaven if they were devout, but only as servants. Blackness was the mark of God’s curse on Cain and his decendants. Supposedly as blacks became more moral and spiritual, they automatically became more white. Blacks were admitted only after the church’s tax exempt status was threatened in 1987.
    see http://www.mormoncurtain.com/topic_blacksandthepriesthood.html and http://www.mormonthink.com/blackweb.htm
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wow! It looks like valid quotes.
The Left isn’t the only side with kooky Truthers. I like Romney, but it is a miracle he hasn’t been asked about this yet. Way worse than polygamy and wierd enough to be kinda funny.

  12. If Edwards is serious about getting to the bottom of this he should scrap his mansion plan, build a high-rise, put Rosie on the top floor, and set it on fire.
Rosie, for her part, can weld herself (with SuperFire) into a steel drum and see if her claim holds water (or just melted fat)…

  13. Frank,
I have no problem taking a shot at conspiracy nuts but could you leave black people out of it. I thought the allusion to black people in the first sentence was far too ambiguous. This crowd may get what your saying, but to tell you the truth most newcomers here ain’t gonna’ get it. I’m afraid, the first sentence will sound like some sort of attempt at a racial slur.
If you have to do too much explaining to someone why that first sentence isn’t a racist statement, than you’ve created too much trouble for yourself. Try to limit the damage to the political group your actually trying to piss off. Besides your chasing away far too many of your own readers.

  14. Just wondering, if their “revolutionary” ahem, heroes, ahem, used nom d’guerres, what do these losers call themselves. I vote for nom d’coq. That is especiially appropriate for Edwards, as he must see a lot of coq dangled in his face (mostly, it is Hillary’s).

  15. It’s obvious the democRATs believe blacks to be inferior! Why would they support policies that discriminate against other races to benefit black people if they didn’t believe black people incapable of achieving themselves! Also, if they didn’t believe blacks to be morally inferior, they might consider saying something about the breakdown of the family and moral structure within the black community…but since they are inferior to democRATs that is to be expected so they have low expectations for “these people”…

  16. Do you really think that many Democratic Party electors believe to the “Fire don’t melt steel” crap because they watched a home-made youtube documentary? Say, more than 5%?
Either your country is more f*cked up than you’d like to admit, or conspiracy theorists are (as everywhere) an obnoxious minority. Are politicians responsable for people that vote them? That’s, at least, controversial. If that was true, Giuliani and McCain (and Bush before them) will have to cope with the vote of religious fanatists who thinks that the war in Iraq is the biblic Armageddong and racist wingnuts.

  17. Emiliano – America is all about diversity. We have quotas on what people believe and the libs keep on flauting racist/truther/head-explodingly-stupid quota. That’s all. It’s the flauting…diversity and flauting. Now do you get the humor?
Emiliano…didn’t we just shoot you out a cannon?

  18. Me? Out of a cannon? I think that you banned my home IP, and now I’m writing from the library, if that’s what you mean (I was sort of flattered… my first ban).
Ah no, you’re maybe making a reference to the mexi-cannon… I don’t know, it works for Italians too (though I was actually born in Mexico, hence the zapatian name)? And only for illegal immigrant or also for leftist trolls?

  19. NEO – what you forget is that black people are as smart as white people and can figure out quiet nicely that frankj is not insulting them. he is insulting the democrat party for not respecting black people but instead is putting them in the “you can’t make it unless i give it to you” category. i guarantee you they will try to convince Barack Obama that if he makes it it is because they “let” him. blacks and whites with any sense at all realize crap when they smell it. i’ve asked several of my black friends about this and they agree. they also think Al Sharpton is a wanker.

  20. Emiliano – While I may or may not have just shot you out of a cannon…I most certainly have not banned you from anything, blocked you from anything, or flattered you in any intentional way. This is America. We shoot first, question nationality 25th. And while we’re at it, isn’t the term “leftist trolls” just a little harsh? I know you’re not from around here, but man…the name calling must stop. …and the scatological references…dude, please. You eat with those fingers? Now out of respect for Tortellini/American relations, I bid you peace.

  21. if somebody gives a monkey a gun and makes him angry, you don’t blame the monkey, you blame the person who handed out the gun
Did some Democrat actually say that??? If so, who exactly do they think the monkey is? It’s an unfortunate reality in this country that the overwhelming majority of gun violence is committed by people of ethnic minorities. If this was a real quote, are they saying that ethnic minorities are just monkeys, with no ability to control their own behavior like a normal human being? Disgusting…

That’s not my point. I get the point of the joke. Screeching monkey faced leftists will never get it. They already know we’re bigots. They’re conditioned from an early age think so. If it weren’t true they wouldn’t have anyone to feel superior to and blame for all the world’s social Ills. You have to make anything satirical really obvious too them and if a joke isn’t really about black people anyway than I would strongly advise leaving them out. Otherwise you spend your time explaining yourself, which in the real world doesn’t work. Don’t give the inquisition what it wants. If you get tagged with the bigot label in the real world you can forget about defending yourself.

  23. Paul, if I was a bigger son of b*%$^ I’d push it further, but nah, no Democrat that I know of said that. I was comparing “truthers” to monkeys, that’s all–maybe a little insensitive, but I’ll stand by it.

  24. When I could’nt post from my home PC I thought it was just a bug… I just had some suspect when I saw that I had’nt problem from the library, but I believe you. No harm done.
About the scatological references: didn’t you see the South Park episode I referred to? It was an hilarious parody of conspiracy theory crap.
“We shoot first, question nationality 25th.”
    Yes, this guy knows: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicola_Calipari

  25. With all due respect to modern Italian military prowess (which I find highly Selassie) and General Calipari, I think we can agree that it is probably not the best policy to run roadblocks at high speed in unmarked cars while brandishing firearms on an unannounced trip during open hostilities. How can one be dismayed when suicidal behavior results in death? The General’s disrespect for his own well-being was justly rewarded.

  26. I’m afraid that you all have it wrong. The biggest problem with the Democratic party is… Republicans!!! And to be fair, the same goes the other way around as well. I read your rants of your blind perspective on what goes through the mind of the average democrat, but all you are really doing is the precise thing that you are accusing democrats of doing; developing conspiracy theories based on lies, misunderstandings and an overall fear of anything different. The most pathetic part of it all is, in reality, republicans and democrats are 90% the same! We all want to be happy, live in peace, raise our families and enjoy life. The biggest and most destructive similarity is just what you are doing here, spreading lies fueled by ignorance and fear. I believe myself to be a rarity in that I strive to educate myself on all issues, political and ethical, and find strengths on both sides of the isle. Problems arise only when members of either side spread false claims about the other side. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself with facts and not propaganda. Understand all sides, not just the side shared by those around you, or the side that seems to benefit you. If there exists a large population of people who hold an opinion different from your own, understand that there is likely a good reason for why they hold that opinion and take it upon yourself to fully understand what that reason is. Then, and only then, will you be qualified to speak to that issue. Only a thoroughly ignorant person will make statements of opinion on a subject that he/she understands only half of the information to be had.
And yes, democrats do the same thing.

  27. Darrin,
You are crediting the DemoCRAPs too much.
Pandering to the Lowest Common Denominator is their stock in trade. Even their chosen terminology evades the actual issues involved, since plain-speaking would define them for all to see (i.e. Choice vs. abortion).
If they do not want to be thought of as Socialists and Marxists, they simply have to repudiate their Socialism-based programs. Since none of them ever do, and the leadership is the worst about trying to resurrect nonfunctional ideas (as opposed to actually offering new ones), they must believe in what they espouse.
Economic ideas that harm the country are regularly dusted off, instead of offering new ones.
Socialist ideals are repeated at least every four years.
Blaming the Right for everything they dislike is an annual event.
When was the last time they actually offered a viable alternative, instead of simply sniping at the Right? If you can remember such a time, then your memory is better than mine.
