when I was i college many years ago the city bought electric cars….the very first made. they were very proud of being the first city to go electric.
every morning I used to walk by the municipal garage where I would see every electric vehicle hooked up to a 2-stroke generatior, still charging from the night before.
it was about that time when I started realizing liberals were idiots.
they also built a tunnel under a road. for frogs. to be fair, they did put up signs explaining this to the frogs so that instead of just going over the road they would use the tunnel. for frogs.
I’ve wondered how you’d do the equivalent of taking a gallon or two of gas to a stranded vehicle, when the vehicle is electric, I assume Tow trucks or equivalents would be equipped with generators to partially charge stranded electric cars.
I would hope something like the above is just a bridge, or emergency solution, but you never know.
The cost per kilowatt hour is double from diesel and that is figuring it here in the USA. I can imagine that the costs in Oz land are much higher and that is without figuring the extra power consumption of the A/C driving in one of the least hospitable places on earth.
You gotta hand it to the ‘eco-nauts’ as they just keep going with dumb ideas and never surrender or give up……
I would add that all of these electric cars pay no highway tax as they do not use fuel that is taxed by the gallon like the rest of us. They still use the same roads and their cars are just as heavy and wearing on those surfaces but hey………,what do I know??

I’m not sayin’ it sounds like you lived in Cali…but it sounds like you lived in Cali. Your secret is safe with us. Long live the resistance!

My Chevy van takes 8 minutes to fill from almost empty. If I plug a dead tool battery in for 8 minutes, I’ve still got a dead battery.
