A while ago I noticed something about a Google search. This prompted me to do a very scienterrific study that everyone helped me with.
Initially it seemed to be a failure.
But, a reader, IkkoNoIshi, pointed out that a post from Instapundit that mentions neither “puppy” nor “blender” is now the third item returned for puppy blender. That disproves my original theory.
Also, I now notice that if you search for liberal assclown, the main page of Instapundit.com is returned as the 13th item. It is the 11th item if “liberal assclown” is placed in quotes.
All in all, though, the theory was disproved, and Google remains a strange and mysterious entity who won’t let me host their ads for some reason.
Actually, when I just clicked on liberal assclown, Instapundit was third. And “liberal assclown” put the Instaman first!
I wouldn’t discount that original theory so fast, Frank. It seems to have finally begun working.
That’s because I linked to the second page of the Google search results.
Actually I just put in liberal assclowns in quotes and what came up first was
Did you mean IMAO.US and when you clicked it it sent me back to IMAO.US. That is weird…
Yes, we all know about that…
He’s still linked as “liberal assclown” on my site. As himself would say…heh.
I took a mathematical modeling class and the professor talked a bit about how Google works. He said it uses a Markov Chain, a formula based on probability. But, the results of a Google search still don’t make sense to me.
