American Civil Liberties Union lawyers on behalf of atheist and non-Christian Americans are petitioning the Supreme Court in a new crusade. Emboldened by their success at removing the small gold cross from the County of Los Angeles seal. The group has rallied around the notion of removing the ‘cross looking’ letter from the English language in America since it bears resemblance to the familiar Christian symbol.
Alber Whie, an ACLU counsel who legally had the letter moved from his name earlier this month and doesn’t pronounce it either, speaks on behalf of the ACLU.
The American Civil Liber-ies Union feels i- is a viola-ion of sepera-ion of church and s-a-e -o con-inue -o include Chris-ian symbols in governmen-.
Our pe-i-ion is -ha- the le–er in ques-ion be s-ricken from all public names, places, governmen- buildings, and cons-i-u-ional ins-i-u-ions and replaced wi-h -he secular non religious dashmark. In o-her words ‘Montana’ would become ‘Mon-ana’, President becomes Presiden-, ‘Texas’ will s-ill be ‘Texas’ because i- has a capi-al ‘T’ and no- -he offensive lowercase varie-y.
Whie also asked that the media stop calling this effort a “crusade”, for what he said were “obvious reasons.” He added he felt a compromise could be possible if the lower case ‘t’ were simply flipped upside down.
Fake News from spacemonkey, brought to you by the letter ‘-‘.

how interesting, i was just looking up stuff on the ACLU
I thought they’d stop with “feh” and “splang” but these bastards will stop at nothing!
DOn’t you guys mean “firs-“?
It’s scary because it’s true! Er, I mean funny… yeah that’s it… funny. 😛
They also better get the goverment to stop using asterisks, those look a bit too much like the Star of David…
Sad thing is, this fake story could just as easily be real.
What about the letter X? It’s very similar to the Greek cross and it comes from the Greek “chi,” which everyone knows is the first letter of the Greek “Christos”. They had also better seek to remove the sequence “XP” from everything because in Greek it is the chi-rho, an ancient Christian symbol of Christ. And what about fish signs?
Eighth! You’re a funny monkey.
Hey hey hey!
Help help help!
-hough I am a warrior for Allah my name is ridiculous wi-hou- the le–er ‘-!’ Who will cower in -error a- -he sigh- of Fawa Alber? -hus I make common cause wi-h -he Zionis- Pigs and Crusader Swine -o defea- -he ACLU!
(Very funny, spacemonkey! I will give you an honorary jihadis- cer-ifica-e. Good for half off -he price of a Subway sandwich wi-h purchase of any large beverage.)
Dea-h -o -he infidels (excep- for spacemonkey, for now)
Freakin’ hilarious. Why does this sound so much like a real news story – that is the sad, sad question.
HALLIBUR-ON! just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
-hankfully, “Puppy Blender” remains unchanged.
All grates on every single building that cross each other must be demolished (with the appropriate hatred of course). Ditto with street crossings, they all should be….should be….well, they should be…that’s it! Cities should be abandoned! Viva Pol Pot! And all fences in the countryland that have a pattern of crossing each other should be uprooted and burned! Yeahhhhhh! LET’S BURN ALL THE CROSSES! Yeehaaaaaaaaa! Oops! Ehem, burning crosses, well, guess we better put them in the trash can á la Moon, otherwise Mr Byrd might get quite anoyed. And then….
Sorry, the previous poster was taken away by the guys with the long sleeves shirts.
I’m a bit confused. Does the seal have a cross or a t? Does it look like a cross or a t? My font makes t’s look quite different from cross. I’m not sure if the letter t has anything to do with a cross. I think that it is more related to the Greek letter tau, which is why the most fonts print it the way they do.
Also, are you sure that ACLU acts only on behalf of atheist and non-Christian Americans, or are you just making things up?
And finally, while I know it is very difficult for some to accept, not everyone in this country of ours is Christian. This country is for non-Christians just as much as it is for Christians. Religious tolerance is one of the founding ideals of this country, and like all ideals, it is something that must always be worked for. Furthermore, this ideal is not in conflict with most faiths, and certainly is not in conflict with a faith that is as an accepting and loving one as Christianity. So why is there so much resistance to this ideal? Why can’t our civic side applaud the ACLU with our offending our Christian side?
sb, hillarious
Heh Spacemonkey!
