Sorry I’ve been too mad to be funny lately (a great IMAudiO is coming Monday, though).
Check out Iowahawk for a great Katrina news round up.
Gutfeld has the application to be a Huffington Post Bush Basher!

You gave an update to that Bit-by-Bit story. Although it isn’t funny, I’ll give you credit for that thing.

This one from the round up is my favorite!
N.O. MAYOR SLAMS FEDS FOR LACK OF INCOMPETENCE PLANNING
In a televised interview with CNN’s Larry King, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin today angrily criticized government response to the Katrina disaster, noting that state and federal officials had “failed to anticipate and factor in my obvious corruption and incompetence.”
“What kind of bubble do these idiots live in?” said Nagin. “For crissakes, this is New Orleans, and me, we’re talking about.”
This appeared in Instapundit.com weblog.
Christopher Johnson has more thoughts:
I would only add that churches ought to be urged to stockpile both food and other emergency supplies for people who don’t have or can’t immediately access their own. Many churches are very strong buildings, they’re in just about every neighborhood and people aren’t afraid of them. I know that if I needed immediate help to get me through the next few days after losing everything I owned, I would much more likely to try a church for help than to take my chances with a government bureaucracy.
Good suggestion.
My Suggestion
But I, Sheree suggest to those not willing to prepare, too stupid to prepare or just don’t give a damn, that in a pinch:
I would highly recommend Walmart in a pinch even if it is closed. It is in every neighborhood, it is stockpiled already with everything you need to survive, from guns, ammunition, binoculars, first aid products, dog/cat food, bird food too, human food, water, camping supplies, sleeping bags, tents and campsite cooking stuff. Plus it has a flat roof to survive upon until rescued. You also have the camera’s to take pictures of the looters that come after you. But you have to do what you have to do to survive.
Some people call it looting, I call it surviving. Get there first before the crowd, because everyone knows that a sale day at Walmart is hectic, forget about a free for all there. Then make your way to the roof with your supplies. You may eventually get arrested, a smack on the wrist, and maybe pay a fine, but it is far better than suffering what those poor people did in New Orleans. Also, don’t forget you have a camera to plea bargain your way to a lighter purnishment. With a good lawyer on your side, you probably will be able to get off with a community service in the next disaster relief area.
Can we get the video of Celine in the water with live power lines? I would give money just to see THAT.
Then maybe we could get someone GOOD at Caesars.
