Congratulations to my brother, Lt. Joe foo’ the Marine. Today he received his commission and officially became an officer. May he be responsible for the death of many evil foreigners in his career.
Can I get an “Ooh-rah!”?

Ooh-rah indeed. Although this Army vet’s gonna have to forgive him for being a Marine. I can do that, really.
Tell him that we wish him well, and most importantly, GOOD HUNTING!
Motivated, Dedicated & ready to do the job, Ooh-Rah! send congrats to Lt. Foo.
for me. My brother, Vincent (from the Army) who just came home today for the holidays sends congats, even though Lt. Foo is a jarhead.
Semper Fi, Marine! bid you all peace love and understanding.

Sir, ooh-rah, sir!
Ditto to Paleo’s comment about the best officers; they never forget the value of their NCOs. And, no offense intended toward any other branch, but thank God for the Marines. I confess to playing favorites…
Ooh-rah, Sir!
Sir. Sheesh, you’re probably young enough to be my son. Oh well, much as I hate to admit it, some of the best, most principled people I’ve met have been officers.
Not Marine officers, mind you, but officers.
And that’s certainly meant in good fun. Congrats!
Congrats to Joe foo’. He’s now one of the most dangerous men in America, a Lt with a map. Find a good Gunny and learn everything he will teach you.
ooh-rah Marine!
Starting at the first of this year, it is no longer lawfull for someone to claim that they have been awarded a decoration that they have recieved.
“The house approved a senate passed bill that would close a loophole in current law that allows posers to escape prosecution as long as they don’t physically wear the decorations they claim.”
“The stolen valor act of 2005 would impose up to six months in jail and up to $5,000 in fines for anyone who claims verbally or in writing to have received an award authorized for members of the US armed forces.”
Keep an eye out for these “Liberal Arts Majors.”
Or rather, not recieved.
Actually, your first version works too. No Life Blossom(tm) must be allowed to shine brighter than the other… or plebes and nobles are going to sleep together and there won’t be communism for everyone!
Joe Foo’,
Like Brian the Sailor, I’m old enough to be your father, but I too admire what you have done, what you do on a daily basis, and the kind of man that you and your comrades are. I hope that you’re always as safe as you’re keeping us.
A big OOH RAH to Joe! Congrats! Frank has been keeping us updated. Everyone is so proud of you! May God Bless you and Merry Christmas Marines! (and Merry Christmas and May God Bless the Army, Navy and Air Force boys too!).

Ohh-Rah!!! The greatest military force in the world just got a whole lot stronger.
And a big Ooh-Rah,sorry about that typo.
In my experience, the best officers were those that served first as enlisted. Joe Foo’ should make a fine, fine officer.
Semper Fi from an Army guy.
