IMAO Top Blog

John Hawkins has his list of top conservative blogs, and IMAO is in the top ten. Where does IMAO rank on your list of top blogs? Don’t all say number one or you’ll look like suck ups. But don’t all say number two either. Please alternate saying IMAO is your first, second or third favorite blog.

By the way, this would be the perfect post to comment “FIRST!” on… though it would be more clever if the first commenter wrote “THIRTY-SECOND!”

  1. Totally honest, with no sucking up? OK –

    1. Hot Air
    2. IMAO
    3. AoSHQ
    4. I Own the World

Then there’s a bunch of little blogspot blogs (like mine, hint, hint) that are pretty cool but are hard to rank. People’s Cube is good too, but it takes sooooooo loooooooong to open when I’m at work… Used to be into NRO and RedState but I hardly check them anymore.

Seriously, IMAO is excellent and the commenters are McAwesome.

  2. 42!

No really. ussjimmycarter does need it hard and nasty. Right now!

Honestly, Frank – or Frankly, in all honesty – you’re at the top of my bookmarks under “Humor.” The rest are under “Blahgers.”

  3. Well Frank, you used to be way up there, but when you take a lead from hawkins you lose all credibility. I must therefore rank you below the Nose on your Face now and put you into #2.

  4. IMAO is ‘we are above that now.’ We’re not just parochial, we’re not just chauvinistic, we’re not just provincial. We stand for something – I mean in a way IMAO’s standing above the country, above – above the world, it’s sort of like……….SWAMP GAS!

  5. This is a blog? I thought it was teh Twitter gateway.

For what it’s worth, my RSS reader has it:
    1. AoSHQ
    2. The Minority Report
    3. IMAO
    4. Redstate
    5. Gateway Pundit
    6. Moe Lane

Moe could probably be higher, but he crossposts a lot at Redstate.

  6. Well, I have to admit it’s hard to rank good blogs sometimes. It just depends who’s ‘hot.’

For example, Rachel Lucas can be a gut splitter when she wants to be. Sometimes, I run out of coffee to spew on her keyboard.

Iowahawk and Vanderleun (American Digest) and Harvey have about equal prosaic power but have very unique themes and constantly keep me looking forward to their writing.

At Ace, you never know if you’re going to get smothered in trash talk or come face-to-face with the Sword of Damocles in bad news.

Hot Air, on the other hand, just keeps chugging along – kind of like Meghan McCain. You never really know what will come of it. It’s a good source for volume reporting/commenting.

I’m also a big fan of Instapundit, Gateway Pundit, Redstate, The Minority Report (thanks to SoccerTeaser), Michelle Malkin, Pajamas Media, SondraKistan and the Grouchy Old Cripple (try to figure out the last two!)

And then there’s Frnak at IAMO (In All My Opinions?). I wish I could quit reading my favorite blog.

But I have way more bookmarks than this. When reading at 10,000 wpm you just have to.

  7. First, I read my emails, maybe check FB, if any of the emails are regarding FB.
Then I go to the news and blogs:

If I’m ranking according to my “favorites”:

    1. IMAO
    2. Club Penguin (the kids spend a lot of time there learning about consumerism)
    3. Hot Air

Then way on down past “banking, grocery shopping and other stuff is
Townhall….but it’s more pundintry that blog, I suppose.

  8. I’m too old to care about whether I look like a suck up. I also try not to lie so …….

IMAO is my favorite Blog of any kind, sorry but thems the facts.
I do like Michele Malkin and there are others I go to if something on either site mentions them but for teh funny I come here, for the news Drudge, for more in depth coverage Malkin. I’m a simple woman, I have simple needs……..the truth, the facts and teh funny.

  9. After filtering out the weather page that is ‘Home’,
The idiotic soap opera pages my Wife peruses, (hope she doesn’t read this)
and the MyFaceSpaceBook crap the daughters use,
My official IE ‘Most Visited History is:

    Michelle Malkin
    Hot Air
    IMAO
    Big Hollywood http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/
    Iowahawk
    Nihilist In Golf Pants http://nihlist.blogspot.com/
    Drudge Report
The Cookshack Gab and Grub http://thecookshack.blogspot.com/
    To The Point News http://www.tothepointnews.com/
    innominatus http://innominatus87.blogspot.com/
    and XKCD http://xkcd.com/18/

My life is so out of whack.

  10. 1. IMAO
    2. rightwingnews

Those are the only two I check on a daily basis, but then I often end up following links from rightwingnews to IowaHawk, HotAir, Ace of Spade, etc.

IMAO is #1 in my book!

  11. helen thomas is a man.com bwaaaaaa!

Mr Fred Thompson is probably amused! Frank J starts each morning with that feeling of terror! “Will this be the day I fail to make the great one smile and suffer his wrath?”

  12. IMAO is easily the one I read the most.

Other than that, the ones I check with any kind of frequency — some more than others — are, in alpha order:

    Barack’s TelePrompTer
    Chicks on the Right
    Conservative Dominion
    Malkin
    Moonbattery
    Pajamas Media
    Rush

  13. !. FreeRepublic (sorry if that offends anyone…)
    2. IMAO (I need to laugh hysterically everyday)
    3. Ann Coulter (every Wednesday)
    4. Drudge
    5. Glenn Beck

    Frank, you magnificent Bastard!
