If I had to name one thing that was liberals biggest problem election-wise, it’s their inability to listen. That wasn’t a big a problem when they were out of power and the opposition, but it’s destroying them now. Liberals like to think the right is crazy and angry, but the right actually does understand the liberals viewpoint. And rejects it. The left, though, doesn’t understand the right; they’re too busy screaming “bigot” and “racist” to even understand what the right is objecting to. While in power, they’ve ignored everyone’s concerns — even deriding those concerns they don’t even understand — and that’s just suicide in a democracy. Now the American people are done listening to the left; I’d say at least 60% of American stop paying attention to the left as soon as they make accusations of racism and bigotry — and that number is only rising. Just look at all the big issues lately: The more the left shouts, the more people turn against them. It’s not so much the Tea Party is so popular as it’s baiting liberals into being even more unpleasant and unlikeable.
That’s the nice thing about the system we have; no matter how much some people scream or cry, they don’t get to ignore election results.
Any time I need to clear a few stumps out back, I just tie a liberal to it and say “Tea Party” and watch their heads explode.
“That’s the nice thing about the system we have; no matter how much some people scream or cry, they don’t get to ignore election results.”
…Yet…
Famous for evading reality for 100+ years, America’s liberals (from both parties) are now going to witness first-hand the destructive power of their ideology. What they’ve set in motion (runaway indebtedness) will take its course regardless of who’s elected.
Jimmy, you are correct.
Meanwhile, the trouble with Republicans is that they win an election and then make up reasons for why they won. It’s rarely ever “We ran on conservative issues.”
The ‘Liberals’ biggest problem is that there is nothing truly ‘Liberal’ about Liberalism.
The accurate description of their religion/ideology is Leftism and they are Leftists. They are not really Liberals!
Leftism is not kind, generous, open handed, broad minded, or warmhearted as they would describe themselves. Actually those words can be applied to George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, Juan McCain, Rudy Guiliani, Mike Huckabee, who are all, politically, a bit too LIBERAL for me.
In this upside down topsy turvy world we live in the Republicans are the real Liberals and the so-called Liberals are Leftists, Anarchists, Communists, Socialists, Liebertarians, Lawyers, and sometimes things much worse.
Jimmy, you are right, again. Nothing to add.
Liberals problem…….there are simply too many to choose from. My personal favorite is their virulent unbelief in a Savior. Then from their hedonistic, elitist platform they endow themselves and their enablers with “savior like” abilities whether they have them or not. Just look at their drive to control the lives of every living being on the planet. Through laws, ordinances, the media and the entertainment gulag they seek to run everyone’s life. Health care, diet, green laws, illegals are all things Liberals can’t get enough of. Of course honor, patriotism, hard work and integrity are all buzz words for intolerance and bigotry.
We are now suffering from the lefts rush to replace the real Messiah with a cardboard replica. He has no real power or authority, morals or ethics. He and his “Marie Antoinette” are peddling while America burns. But hey, lost your job, lost your home, living in your car……………you should go out for lobster. That’s what the Obama’s are doing with our money. We can’t pay our bills but “Michele-Marie” goes to the most expensive vacation spot in the world and takes 40 of her friends.
The saddest thing, to me, is that in calling the First Co-hort Marie Antoinette it is insulting to the real Queen. She was very young, very sheltered and very ignorant. They liked to keep them that way so they didn’t get in the way of the people who really ran the government. When she said the famous “let them eat cake” she wasn’t being rude or snide, she honestly didn’t understand that people didn’t have anything to eat. If the palace ran out of bread they ate cake. That was her reality, one that was foisted upon her by her keepers, her betters, the people she was supposed to trust and learn from. Michele Obama doesn’t have that defense, she went to an Ivy League school, she’s supposed to be a smart and talented lawyer. She knows what’s what, but it’s HER TURN, darn it and everyone’s going to pay.
John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson have got to be just spinning. Dr King just continues to weep.
@Scott “That’s the nice thing about the system we have; no matter how much some people scream or cry, they don’t get to ignore election results.”
Washington state proves this theory wrong- Republican Dino Rossi actually won the gubernatorial election, but after a protest from the democrats, a recount was held- where he still won, albeit by a smaller margin. They forced a third recount, one which favored the democratic candidate by less than 1% of the vote. So what happened? They threw out the first two counts and swore in the Democrat.
If that’s not ignoring the results of an election, I don’t know what is…
“Washington state- where the best 1 out of three WINS!”
Great post, seanmahair.
I would like to see how many Americans know MLK’s true political leanings. Or perhaps I don’t; times are depressing enough and the result wouldn’t be very surprising.
“That’s the nice thing about the system we have; no matter how much some people scream or cry, they don’t get to ignore election results.”
Except when they manufacture the election results.
“That’s the nice thing about the system we have; no matter how much some people scream or cry, they don’t get to ignore election results.”
So you’ve never heard of Senator Al Franken?
Al Franken the literal things all the left accused Bush of being in 2000.
Joe Biden all the literal things the left accused Quayle of being.
Sotomoyar all the literal things the left accused Harriet Meyers of being.
Al Sharpton all the literal things and worse the left accused Clarence Thomas of being.
Hillary all the literal things the left accused Condoleeza of being.
I could go on but I feel like that gets the point.
Shiggz, I have been saying something similar for years – If the leftists start making accusations about someone, you will probably find the same thing (they are just projecting) in their not so recent past.
That’s why I love it when they holler racism. Just look at their policies for the last 50 or more years and you will see who the racists are.
Crist?
Murkowski?
Franken?
The Massachusetts legislature (after Kennedy’s death)? [changing the rules in the middle of the game]
AS THEIR POLITICAL FORTUNES SHRINK AWAY,
WHILE THE BRINGERS OF LIGHT TAKE THE DAY,
THE LAP DOG GELDINGS ARE NO LONGER PLACID,
AS THEIR DIMINUTIVE PUDS ARE TURNING FLACCID,
THEIR PLACE IN HISTORY WILL BECOME A CLICHE.
GLENN BECK HAS CARRIED THE DAY
@ss396
I was glad to read on Hotair that 46 states have sore loser laws that means you have to registered for I think an “independent run” before the party primaries. That seems to me like an all around good law.
I am a little lazy but Republicans could start making lists of the worst republicans that have been voted out since 2006,2008,2010 (primaries). The American people should see it for what it is as “house cleaning.” The Republican party the Democrats keep talking about largely no longer exists.
Fresh new faces and whole new generation of Republican leaders much different from the old. That Republicans have tried to play down these changes rather then trumpet them to the American people. I think its a huge mistake. Its exactly what regular Americans want to hear form before the give the Keys back to Republicans.
“In 2006, 2008, 2010 primaries American and the Republican party has been cleaning house on the GOP.
“New Workers – New Management!””
I wanted to attend Glenn Becks rally in Washington today, but I bought new tires for the wife’s car instead, so no travel money.
Did anyone here attend?
I did not, but would also be curious for a firsthand experience from someone.

Poor old Glenn Beck!
He promoted his rally for months, got a crowd of Americans estimated at 300 to 500 thousand to attend, and what was the big story on every news network this weekend (including Fox)?
The 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina!
Sheesh! Maybe next time they could have a ceremonial ‘tipping over of the cop cars, breaking of the windows, and looting of the 7/11’ to get the press to take them seriously?
So, we elect Republicans? Then what? Does anyone really believe that John Boner has any idea on how to fix the economy or that he even cares? He doesn’t! It’s about gaining and keeping power and we rubes out here in middle America are on our own! Do you really think they will repeal Obama Care? Of course not! The Republican Party is as big government as the RATS! They just tell us what we want to hear and then go to work spending our money on their own pet projects and slapping the backs of their own lobbyists… Sorry, but unless someone VERY Conservative takes over the GOP, we are all DOOOOOOOMED!
“…and we rubes out here in middle America are on our own!” -ussjimmycarter
Ain’t that the truth.
Can you imagine the Republicans reducing the federal workforce by 25% and cutting remaining wages by 25% to bring the Fed’s in line with the private sector? Can you imagine the liberals and unions screaming if they do that? 40 million on food stamps now and one in six on federal support of some kind. What then?
Can you imagine the Republicans repealing Obamacare and cutting the budget by 25%? I can’t.
Indeed, prepare to be “on your own.”
