ESPN pulled the standard Hank Williams, Jr. opening from Monday Night Football after some comments the singer made on Fox and Friends:
In an interview Monday morning on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Williams, unprompted, said of Obama’s outing on the links with House Speaker John Boehner: “It’d be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu.”
I, for one, applaude the decision by ESPN.
Comparing the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, to Adolf Hitler was a horrible thing for Williams to do.
Then, comparing Obama to Benjamin Netanyahu? Our Israeli friend deserves better.
Why do you assume he was calling _Boehner_ hitler?

What I don’t get is why can the entire leftist establishment directly call GWB Hitler, but somebody uses Hitler and Obama in an analogy and suddenly they are the worst person since Hitler.
I think a better analogy would have been “…like the Mad Hatter having tea with the March Hare.”
Or, if you want to keep the Nazi meme, how about “…like Heinrich Himmler playing golf with Paul Revere…the liar and the crier.”

Basil may be joking (I can never tell), but it’s hard to make a comparison between two extremes without the worst one being equated with Obama. Maybe Hank should have made the golf comparison between Aquaman and whichever sissy water pollution or global warming villain is Aquaman’s enemy now. Both are equally undesirable but they are also opposites.
ESPN is entirely correct to suspend Williams. So far, Obama’s policies have only killed 2 Americans and a couple hundred Mexicans – that hardly rises to the level of Hitler.

Hank Williams Jr. was very wrong to state that Boehner meeting with Obama was like Hitler meeting with Netanyahu because they are polar opposites. Actually, Obama and Boehner aren’t really all that different.

OK, it lacked subtlety, but it was a perfectly apt analogy for irreconcilable political differences, which is obviously how it was meant. He wasn’t specifically identifying either one of the men as being “like” Hitler OR Netanyahu. I am so bleeping sick of this PC crap I could just bleep. hank jr has a right to his opinion, after all you ask him what he thought , if you did not wanna know whyd you ask him then you twisted it all around. . espn and fox had no right to judge him on it. they jump to the wrong conclusion.
You people need some [mostly financial] help, so you can be free to live life the way you want at practically no expense to you or your family; but you do go out and get it in the wrong places in all the wrong ways.
