* So Obama is still pushing those Truth Teams. I notice they have a long list of lies they’re trying to fight, but one is “The Truth Teams hunt down people they don’t believe are telling the truth and drag those people away from their homes in the middle of the night.” But instead of listing that as “False”, it just has the label “Unverified.”
* There’s this controversy where Dana Milbank said, “The chimichanga? It may be the only thing Republicans have left to offer Latinos.” And the White House’s campaign manager retweeted it. And then some people said that’s racist.
I don’t really care about the “chimichanga” part as being racist, but it’s the underlying sentiment that’s the harmful racism. Once again you have liberals who are very desperate to force people into groups based on race. To say the GOP has nothing to offer Latinos is to say that one race all has a single monolithic viewpoint. There are no individuals, only groups, and liberals will tell you what they should think.
The basic view of a liberal on race is that white people are bad and racist, but a caring white person — much like themselves — knows what’s good for minorities even more than they do. And the minorities who get into the Democrat’s leadership seem to adopt the same view; they’re the smart one who needs to carefully care for and herd the dummy minorities who can’t take care of themselves. This is the most prevalent and harmful for of racism we have today, and at some point some people need to take a stand against if we ever really want to get past racism.
But the Democrats don’t want to get past racism. It’s the glue holding their party together.
* So a guy from Megadeth has endorsed Rick Santorum. It’s only interesting in how much some on the left are freaking out; they really don’t like apostasy in the entertainment industry.
Still, shouldn’t someone from a group called “Megadeth” endorse someone who is pro-abortion?
* Scientists have discovered a new chameleon that’s only as big as a match head. It makes me wonder: Why would you need to be both a chameleon and super small? Isn’t the super small all you need to keep predators from seeing you? Why does it also need to be able to camouflage? Why doesn’t it need to hide so much? What’s it up to?
Man, there could be one in my house right now and I wouldn’t even know it. WHAT’S IT WANT?!!!
* Wisdom of the Day from John Scalzi:
When you really think about it, “sweater” is really an unappealing name for an article of clothing.
* IN THE MAIL: I just received the book Glock: The Rise of America’s Gun. It’s all about the development and spike in popularity among police and civilians of that ugly, ugly extremely reliable gun (I myself own a Glock 17). Looks interesting; I’ll definitely give it a read.
A chimichanga.
It wants to not be shot with a Glock 17.
Because chamelons turn color and you RACISTS hate color.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Chimichanga
Glock – the American gun designed and made in Austria. :-/
Note: I think the fact that I was once simultaneously “represented” by Unibrow Casey and the hideous specter of Arlen gave me fond memories of Rick Santorum – memories that don’t seem very factual.
Wait a minute, Frank, you own a European gun chambered in 9 mil?
I’m heartbroken. Next you’ll tell me you’ve abandoned Boise State for the Blackburn Rovers.
Glocks are great. My Glock 21 is my favorite gun.
It’s not megadeath, it’s Megadeth. The missing ‘a’ is a clear sign he omits ‘abortion’ from death to everyone clause.
The comment about what the real racism problem is gets 5 stars from me. You put it very well, and it is something I’ve tried to point out to my liberal friends in the past, if not as well as you wrote here. Perhaps if I just quoted what you said up there, even a liberal might understand it and realize their error in thinking.
Nahhh, who am I kidding?
Nuke the Chimichanga?
Can’t. My microwave blew-up when I tried nuking the Cat.
Burmashave’s book would be:
Marketing Genius:
How the Glock Made the Outdated .38 Special Round Popular Again by Calling it a 9mm Round
So…the Obama Truth Squads are the equivalent of the Einsatzgruppen to AttackWatch’s Schutzstaffel in the current National Socialism paradigm of the White House? Does that make Camp David the new Wolf’s Lair and the Oval Office the (Milchschokolatten) Fuhrer Bunker?
Nice, Burma.
Owning a Glock is like having sex with your cousin. It may be fun, but in your heart you know it’s wrong.
@Cautiously Pessimistic: Which is more wrong, owning a Glock or not owning a Glock?
The Truth Team is alive and well and coming to a remote cabin in Idaho near YOU!!
http://pjmedia.com/zombie/
Glock does make models in .40, .45, and 10mm. Any of which might come in handy if Jimmy invites you over for chimichangas
Like all Miss America contestants, and members of certain Irish rock bands, Chameleons everywhere…regardless of size, want an end to world hunger, and we want world peace…..George, the match head sized chameleon, Madagascar.
Not owning a Glock is never wrong.
Plastic ain’t got a soul!
We also want to know why the Colbert Report mysteriously went off the air, what’s Comedy Central trying to hide?…..George, the match head sized chameleon, Madagascar.
A democrat let their crazy slip out on social media? You don’t say!
I’m not surprised at all that a thrash metal artist like Mustaine is right-of-center. Speed, thrash, and death metal are IMHO close to punk rock in their messages, and I consider anarchistic punks to be anti-hippies. I know from experience that hippies will dissolve ala Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark if exposed to Slayer, Pantera, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, System Divide, Allegeon, Dethklok, or similar bands I could reccomend if you have a hippie problem. I would think that most metal bands lean toward libertarianism as many of their songs topics are anti-establishment, anti-authority, and from the point of view of the loner individual.
Also, Apostasy is a Swedish Black Metal band.
And Glocks are ugly.
And I have a model 22(.40 S&W).
And the only reason to have any handgun in 9mm is to have a Beretta 92F.
“It may be the only thing Republicans have left to offer Latinos.”
I was unaware that the role of government officials was to “offer” things to people. I’ll pass on the gift bag…instead, I’d prefer if they stay out of my business.
@Elle T.: The only thing worse than owning a Glock is not owning a gun at all. I mean, if your cousin’s the only game in town, you just have to make do.
Milbank’s mention of “chimichanga,” resulting in a subconscious suggestion generating an uptick in visits to Mexican restaurants has probably done more for the prosperity of Latinos than Obama’s policies have in the past three years.
Here’s
the outlineentirety of my book:1) Law enforcement used the .38 cal from time immemorial.
2) In the late 1940’s-1950’s, they switched to the .38 special because the .38 didn’t have needed stopping power.
3) In the 1960’s-1970’s most units migrated to the .357 magnum for the same reason.
4) Some units detoured to .44 magnum and .45 ACP.
5) Starting in the 1980’s, nearly all units migrated back to the 9mm (.35 cal) because of its magazine capacity and “lower recoil.”
6) Magazine capacity became crucial as shooters were taught to double-tap to make up for the 9mm’s lack of stopping power.
In conclusion, I would like to say that Barney Fife carried a .38 cal Police Special.
which party is providing cases of Abita beer to the voters?
I followed the links to that ‘Megavest’ story where someone compared Rick Santorum to Richie Cunningham and he was OK with it.
I thought of that weeks ago.
Am I a prescient genius, or was it just obvious?
Maxine Waters, projecting again.

#15 – Greg,
Awesome!
Megadeth rules. I still feel like saying violent anti-Santorum things, though.
“My microwave blew-up when I tried nuking the Cat.”
Man, you are out of line. If that’s the way this blog is gonna go, I’m outta here.
FrankJ:
I still don’t understand why you won’t support Santorum.
But good news! It seems a new candidate has entered the Republican race, who just might be right-wing enough for you!
Read about it here!

P.S. How about that jobs report? The number of Americans filing for new unemployment benefits fell to a near four-year low. It is Morning in America!
So the rate at which people are losing their jobs has decreased? Hot dang, it is a new dawn.
“So a guy from Megadeth has endorsed Rick Santorum.”
Teacher says, every time a celebrity endorses a conservative a liberal’s head explodes.
“It may be said of Socialism, therefore, that its friends recommended it as increasing equality, while its foes resisted it as decreasing liberty….The compromise eventually made was one of the most interesting and even curious cases in history. It was decided to do everything that had ever been denounced in Socialism, and nothing that had ever been desired in it…we proceeded to prove that it was possible to sacrifice liberty without gaining equality….In short, people decided that it was impossible to achieve any of the good of Socialism, but they comforted themselves by achieving all the bad.”
