  1. There are those who risked very serious consequences when they marched at Selma, walked in Montgomery, gathered at the Lincoln Memorial, protested with dignity so that their dignity could not be denied, and made humanity notice the injustice of what they faced daily.

And yet, today, there are too many who profit by perpetuating that same racial divide which past generations shined a spotlight on. For too many, there is more money in keeping the racial inequality alive than there is in perpetuating the accomplishments and opportunities which are a result of the bravery shown by those who risked so much. There are too many who are profiting from this modern form of slavery. Where there is profit, there is business, commerce, and greed.

  2. gotta keep them on the government plantation

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
    ― Samuel Adams
