  1. Same design with the edition of one star in the middle. Not the middle of the blue field but the whole flag. It’ll have to be about three times as large as the other stars. That’ll be the one for Texas.

Plan B: revert to the 48 star design and have a pennant attached with the stars for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. No offense to Alaska.

  2. I say it’s past time for Puerto Rico to get off the dime anyway; they should have asked for statehood ages back.

On the other hand, being state requires them to be more independent, not less, than a territory; I hope to see.

(My only dog in this fight is an old Army buddy from PR, and I had a drill sergeant at Ft. Lee, come to think of it.)

    • THey have periodically had votes Independence; Statehood; Status Quo. Status Quo always wins because they keep the benefits coming, aren’t responsible for a real budget and remain US Citizens. I would say yes to statehood for them, but only if they adopt English as the official language. As far as runningout of Oklahoma, Texas could contribute some more conservative states can’t it?

  3. No problem. They make a democrat state of Puerto Rico, we’ll create another reliable GOP state by dividing Oklahoma. DC statehood? Okay, we’ll split Oklahoma yet again. Oh no – here comes Guam! We’re running out of Oklahoma! South Carolina, you’re up.
