The only way this works, in any rational way, is to say there are two Primary genders and that socially we can construct sub genders based upon own perceptions to our hearts content. But they exist below and subordinate to, the two basic genders.

What about people with XYY (Y and two X chromosomes)? Or the rare XX male? What gender are these people?
Biological exceptions are just that, exceptions, but they don’t exist only in the mind of the individual and they tend not to be very common.
Those are genetic disorders. While not casting judgement on their sufferers, I don’t think the conditions “rate” being considered separate genders.
