I’ve not seen the new Star Wars movie. I haven’t seen the last one, either. “Rouge One” I’m talking about. I own it, but I haven’t seen it. I might even own “The Last Jedi” but I’m not sure. I need to check.
I remember being all excited about the second trilogy coming out. Until I saw it.
I wasn’t all that excited for the third trilogy, but I did watch “The Force Awakens.” Thought it was good. But, like I said, I never saw “Rouge One” nor have yet seen “The Last Jedi.” Oh, well.
What’s on your mind? Got something you’d like to share? It’s Friday Night Open Thread, and your turn to direct the conversation.
Who wants to start?
As a matter of fact I was watching Rogue One today. I didn’t finish it because I had to run some errands. Here’s my thoughts:
-I liked the story and the pacing
-I didn’t like the “Law & Order” shakey-cam
-an hour in the movie and I couldn’t tell you the main characters names.
-I think I would have enjoyed it as a book (I’m not a Star Wars book reader)
-it probably would have made a great adventure as a role-playing game.
I’m sure I’ll finish it before too long.
I think one that they screwed up on in the prequels (at least esp 1) was the pacing. The last few have gotten better at it.
Ah yes! WC Fields at his best in a movie from 1942 called Tales of Manhatten. Also featuring Margret Dumont, favorite foil of the Marx Brothers…enjoy
This is just an excerpt from the movie. It featured WC Fields…sorry if anyone thought it was the whole movie. He wasn’t in the whole movie.
Earl Scruggs, the father of bluegrass banjo, was born January 6, 1924, in Flint Hill, North Carolina. Don’t break down on Foggy Mountain today.
I thought the Last Jedi was a good movie. Sure there were some issues. But after the last 5 star wars movies, it was actually a good one.
Only Democrats are capable of something this stupid. A lawsuit over a tax cut………………..

When this evidence was presented to presiding Judge Smails, he sputtered: “P – p – pleasantries? With a Russian?!”
Hidden inside the pleasantries was the collusion. Obviously. Although its not like the lawyer gave her millions in cash to influence a government official to change US policy now, is it?
