There’s this YouTube channel where the narrator explains movies for people who are NOT the target audience. Or something like that. The only problem is the language. It’s for laughs, and bleeped, but still…
Anyway, the first one is one that I really love. It’s The Godfather Explained For Millennials. So, imagine you’re sitting there with a millennial on one side, and a narrator on the other, and you’re listening to the narrator explain the movie to the millennial. Oh, and the narrator doesn’t think any more of the millennial than you do.
Well, I liked it.
So, what’s been on your mind? Got something you’d like to share? It’s Monday Night Open Thread.
Who wants to start?
Watched a couple, this guy is good.
Yep. Went on to watch his synopsis of “Godfather Part 2.” Fun stuff and funny.
I’ve seen a couple of them too and like them a lot.
On another note I noticed for the first time that the funeral home owner in the WKRP in Cincinnati episode about the commercial spot, is named “Berryman” Berryman/Bury man. Oh WKRP in Cincinnati, you so crazy.
Only took me 30 or so years to spot that.
I know the feeling because it took many viewings for me to catch who was being alluded to in the phrase “a Laurel and Hardy handshake” in the movie Blazing Saddles.
Shirley MacLaine, one of the great actresses despite being less than perfectly sane (or perhaps because of it), was born April 24, 1934, in Richmond, Virginia.
A Sister!
