It’s different, and it’s higher energy, but I’m not sure it’s better. I didn’t like the cartoon physics, but I did like the flashbacks to Episode 3. I thought they added some depth to the scene.

Higher energy definitely doesn’t mean better energy. Dragging out the fight scene disrupts the pace of what’s going on with Luke, Han, and the droids. The original version was a duel of honor. Turning it into an action scene kind of undercuts that. Especially when you’re watching an old man get tossed about like a ragdoll.
