I would ask you the questions three but the Gorge of Eternal Peril is getting cramped. So, instead, we will go with this week’s question.
From which form of entertainment do you draw the greatest pleasure?
Personally I love to read a good book, especially one in a series where an intriguing universe is created. My favorite is the Honorverse, created by David Weber, which follows the adventures of the Heroine Honor Harrington. With side series and spin-offs there are over 25 books in the series. Quite a lot of reading but thank God for audio books.

So let us all know what in life you find best. Conan need not reply.

A good book, fine cigar and Irish whiskey.
Harrington is good. Female Horatio Hornblower…a series I’ve read a dozen times. Try the Richard Sharpe series.
Book. Local public library is cheap, just like me … well, free actually. With a nice, sensibly priced IPA 🍺
Video games are my favorite, if I can get a good one. The trick is, figuring out the game mechanics & finding surprises in the in-game world are a major draw for me, but it’s hard to find games without spoiling the discoveries.
Reading fiction is second for me. I never developed a taste for description, so text & comics work more or less as well as each other for me.
Weber, Ringo, Taylor…. heck, just the sci-fi line up at Baen!
The Honorverse is good, but Honor herself is too much of a Mary Sue for it to be great, IMAO.
I read the 1st two Honorverse books. Needs more of the cat.
Read on then… you’ll find it soon(ish)…
Weber does a YA series on how Stephanie Harrington was the first human to bond with a treecat.
Is Honorverse a book? I’ve only seen comic books.
It’s a universe. There are a bunch of books set in the Universe where the Honor Harrington books take place.
The Honor Harrington series starts out great, gets pretty tired by around book 7 or so, then gets good for a couple books and ends in a hurried, “Let me get this over with” manner.
The good books are excellent, even the mediocre ones are better than most other books out there.
A good strategy board game is best. How could it not be? Heh. And computer games, especially TBS and a good story-driven RPG.
But Weber is pretty good and some of his other series are decent too. Safehold, Bahzell, etc. Not his latest tho. So far seems all of his “full series” collaborations are junk. His spin off collaborations though are so far all quite good. Maybe because he does those with established authors? Not sure, but can barely wait for the next Mantcore Ascendant novel with Tim Zahn et al.
