Quick question for you all. How many of you personally know someone who has tested positive for the Wuhan Flu? Not suspected, not heard from a friend who heard it from a friend, etc level. I was just curious. I don’t know anyone with a confirmed case. Now that is always subject to change but I was curious as to your experience with this new existential threat.

None here yet. There’s only 77 confirmed cases in the county with a population of over 200,000, so that could be worse.
Only two confirmed cases here in our little community. One died. It seems that everyone knew him but me. My wife works with a couple of people who were close to or related to him. His kids look familiar, so maybe our paths have crossed, but I don’t recall.
My sis-in-law was tested, but it was negative. Those are the only two cases I’m aware of in my circle of people.
My nephew works in a federal prison and said they have zero cases in his facility.
Two people tested positive in my company. One was half way around the world. Both recovered. One never even took a day off.
One employee claimed his wife was exposed and he took 2 weeks self quarentine. No confirmation made yet, I have yet to be personally involved with a case.
I am a essential employee, breaking wrenches on tractors to keep food and fuel running to outlets.
Wife just told me an employee in another city in her company tested positive for it. The jerk was sick, but kept coming to work, finally went to the doctor and got tested, and kept coming to work, then got notified he tested positive. Entire office cleared immediately and those who can are working from home. He ought to be real popular at work after all this passes.
A friend living about 3 hours from me tested positive about a month ago. She self isolated, and is fine today solely from over the counter medicine.
My brother-in-law had a positive test, then a retest a few days later was negative while he still had flu-like symptoms. His wife and adult son who live with him were both negative.
No one personally.
No
I heard via email that an older member of my church has it. And my cousin is a nurse who had a patient that tested positive for it. But that’s all I’ve heard.
Either we all move in very healthy circles, live very circumscribed lives or perhaps this pandemic is not so “pan” as we are being lead to believe.
From South Florida….. No.
Friends cousin’s mother’s neighbor who knows a guy kind of things, but that’s it. No one in my circle of friends, no one in their circle of friends, and only ‘stories’ from the next circle of influence.
Admittedly these are not big circles of people we are talking about, but since we are all at least four degrees of separation from even the first ‘heard about’ in an area that is mandating masks and gloves just to go in your front yard and threatening force against people who dare cross the line past their sidewalk it seems like we should be able to find a case a bit easier.
