When I worked at Pearl Harbor, one of our buildings still had bullet holes from the attack. Also, when they combined Pearl Harbor Naval Base with Hickam Air Force, it was night and day difference between the two. Literally a road ran along what used to be the fence line, and the Navy side was all decrepit buildings and weeds, and the Air Force was green grass and pristine everything.
