FLEMING APR 23∙PREVIEW READ IN APP Social Security — it’s a lot of the federal budget and takes a lot out of our paychecks. But what is it exactly and does it really benefit us? To answer those questions, I made this FAQ.Social Security FAQ Q. What is Social Security? A. Social Security is a program started by Franklin Delano Roosevelt (a racist Communist) to fund people in their retirement. Q. How does it work? A. Money is taken out of every paycheck from your entire life to pay for it. Q. And that money is invested? A. No. Q. Well, what is done with it? A. It’s given to people receiving Social Security based on what they paid in. Q. So, it’s a Ponzi scheme? A. No, it’s not .Q. How is it not a Ponzi scheme? Instead of any actual investments, it’s only solvent as long as more people keep paying into the system. A. Charles Ponzi was never able to point a gun at millions of people and demand they keep paying into his schemes. If he could, he would have been able to keep the scheme going much, much longer. Q. So it’s a Ponzi scheme where people are forced to pay into it even if they know it’s a Ponzi scheme? A. I guess that’s fair. It’s a horrible scam, and everyone knows that, but it doesn’t matter because people still need to pay into it to not end up in prison. Q. So, since the government can keep forcing people to pay into it, then it will keep paying out? A. Oh, no. No no no. With people living longer, the ratio of people getting a payout versus those paying in will keep increasing. It’s expected by 2041 that Social Security will no longer be able to meet its current payout… which just happens to be the year I’ll first be eligible to get Social Security .Q. So what can we do? A. Revenge. Q. Sorry, what?… |

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United Socialist States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
NSA: “Knock, Knock, Gene . . .”
FBI: No-Knock, Gene.
They should erect a statue of Charles Ponzi outside of the SSA headquarters in Baltimore. Inscribe “Our Founder” on the nameplate.
Not so much a ghost, more likely a resonant afterimage from his time machine…

I wonder if you all will still be whining once your old enough to collect it…?
Yes! But collect it I will.
Not if Biden sends it to his 2 proxy wars. SS funds will run out 20 years earlier than projected.
The younger generations are smaller than those before them, and waiting longer to join the workforce. Most Americans have little to no savings, and many do not have any retirement savings at all. So this pyramid scheme is already turning upside down. By the time I am old enough to collect, I will have spent a lifetime paying in, and will be lucky to get a small fraction of that money back. I would be much better served by opting out of SS and saving and investing the money myself. So yeah, I’ll still be whining once I’m old enough to collect it.
I agree that it is a Ponzi scheme — get all that you can out of it as fast as you can. The day will come when the gov’t says:
“Oh well. New rules. We now can’t afford it. Passed by the Congress. Sorry, so sad, about you who paid into it all your life. Did you see, by the way, what we do to insurrectionists?”
Retire as early as you can to start enjoying it.
“No, I saw what you did to trespassers you labeled insurrectionist, That’s why I’m stockpiling ammo.”
If Vladimir Lenin had a Substack this would be his explaining of Trickle Down Economics.
All I can say about SS is that when I was paying into it…I hated it. Now that I’m collecting SS…I love it.
Hey, you are an honorable military vet, though, in addition. You deserve every penny and more. Will future retirees have Social Security, though? I can’t see the Starbuck’s crowd — feminine studies majors — financing this.
