Democrats have been howling with increasing ferver recently that Bush has no exit strategy for Iraq.
Which, frankly, puzzled me.
I couldn’t believe that Bush hadn’t planned on giving us a way out of Iraq. I mean, it’s not like America’s a bunch of idiot Frenchmen (sorry for the redundancy) who would go plunging into a war without some idea of how to get the troops home again.
So I consulted with my favorite military expert, Matt of Blackfive, who calmly assured me that Bush does, indeed, have an exit strategy for Iraq, which he explains succinctly in the extended entry:

While not exactly funny, or humorous, it does make sense and it seems very reasonable.
I’m still waiting for the Dems to comment on President Clinton’s exit strategy for Bosnia — which is several years behind schedule right now …

Uh, they don’t need a plan. The troops come home on their own. Usually before the first shot gets fired.
I think we should do it. Nuclear weapons, Al-Qaeda support, a KNOWN terrorist, Mahmoud Ahmadjinead as their new president…It makes even more sense than Iraq.
Screw getting out of Iraq, after this morning’s terrorist attacks in London let’s go and take it out on the insurgents.

Seeing the news of the London terrorist attacks, I find a little comfort in the phrase, “What would Churchhill do?”
We gotta kill more terrorists. We gotta win. Grown-ups know it’s gonna take years and years. Grown-ups know we’ll pay a high price in dead soldiers and dead civilians, but that the price is worthwhile.
When the terrorists know they can’t win, they’ll quit.
My sympathies to the British citizens.

I’ll vote for the map plan … today sounds like a good time to start …. taking a former hostage-taking scumbag of an “elected president” out first would also be great! Time for terror to reap its reward.
