I can’t believe that they are still debating what constitutes a planet. If an object is large enough for it’s gravity to make it globed shaped and it is in an independent orbit around a star, then it’s a planet! Duh!
I say we name it Hecate.
someone else posted this already but if the planet is way out there and chilly and forebodding and for all intents and purposes is a dead planet – why not call it “Hillary”.
I say we call it “Place Where We Stick All Liberals”. Well, that isn’t actually a name I guess, but a description. We could call it Equality Land. That would make them flock to it! How about “High Tax, Unborn Baby Killing, Homosexual Marriage, Feminist, No War, All Cars Run on Vegetable Oil, Vegetarian, Government Program Laden, Islamic, No Bush Ever, New France Land”? And so Michael Moore would leave we could say there is an eternal all you can eat buffett for the first 100 people who make it there!
It’s just an idea……..
Hecate is an excelent suggestion Merlin. Especially since there’s only one female among the nine now. Wait, I thought we were talking about the Supreme Court. 😉
or Persephone. Or even better, we should rename Uranus Persephone (although what 5th graders will make jokes of during science class in that case could be problematic).
Does this mean that all astrology to date is wrong because it didn’t take this planet into account? Or is it wrong because it’s just a big load of hooey? Sounds like a good place for a Wal-Mart super center though! They can put it right next to the Starbucks they put up last year.
FIRST!!!
(Also, I got the story on my blog FIRST!!!)
Now is this planet spherical?
Or is it a dodecahedron?
I think we should know, before we decide…
Damian; yo!

Wait a tic! Shouldn’t we be all sensitive to the feelings of the Lectroids? I mean, sheesh! What do they call it?
Then we’ll call it something else.

Let’s call it Goofy. I liked him better than Pluto anyway…
I thought Cedna was considered the tenth planet. That would make this planet XI, right?

Since he’s getting married, “Frankk” would be good.
