The Village Voice has a feature on right-wing bloggers. They rate them on a stupid-to-evil ration — which I assume is tongue in cheek but its hard to tell with liberals these days.
Anyway, this got me thinking: Why do liberals publications have such gay names? Village Voice, Mother Jones… why not just name a magazine “The Pink Frilly Paper for Sissies”? Of course, I’ve never understood how men can be liberal. It’s an okay philosophy for five-year-old girls, but how can any self-respecting man center his beliefs around so much whining and touchy-feeliness? Some people are castrated through accidents, but I don’t know what everyone else’s excuse is.

All liberals are either homos, or have to be liberal to be allowed to get into the pantsuit of some smelly hippy chick.
But mostly, homos.
Village Voice
ORIENTATION: Flammingly Fabulous
CANDIDATE: Nader, unless Gore will change his mind.
STUPID/EVIL: 100/0
HISTORY: Previously unheard of until they made comments about the most popular blogs on the internet.
MODUS OPERANDI: Get page hits by calling out right wing blogs.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Name calling on the level not heard since pre-school.
At least they got the amount of evil right on the Puppy Blender.
“Dispositive”? Did they actually use the word “dispositive”? Good grief. Intellectual doublespeak is remarkably like regular schmoe doublespeak, in which the expression is, “Just regular ungood.”
These are the guys that A. Got the bezeebers beat out of them during their formative years because they were easy pickings being the dill weeds that they were or B. Somehow got a message (probably from Mommy) that it’s ok to be a Homo!
You know, I actually went and read some of that site. Blech! What random comments with $100 words! But overall, their perception of conservative webblogs suggests countless hours of patronage. And that’s amazing.
They must really like them.
Why do liberals publications have such gay names?
Do they? I’ve never thought of The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, Time, etc., as particularly gay names.
Sorry, but if my 5-yr-old girl had thought like liberals (she’s 7 now), then I would have set her straight. Liberalism is not good for children and other living things.
-Ozmar the Concerned Daddy
Yeah, Jim I thought so too, until I heard that the word “Times” was used in that Judy Garland song “Somewhere over the Rainbow” in the Wizard of Oz. Therefore it’s extra gay.
“Chronicle” I think was a code word Freddy Mercury used for “Disco Board”.
Cracks me up that your first commenter uses the name Socrates and rails against “homos.”
I thought you meant the other kind of Girly Mags when I saw the article name.

It cracks me up that your a stupid troll who doesn’t understand that he was using ‘homo’ as an insult separate from its original meaning.
Also, your a stupid troll.
And your stupid.
FrankJ:
It is ok. I know you are “bitter” after you were not featured in the Village Voice feature on right-wing bloggers.
Maybe if you posted less crappy sci-fi, and more old lawyer jokes repurposed for Barack Obama, you could have made it in? Just an idea.
Oh, by the way, today George Bush said “countries like China and India are experiencing rapid economic growth — and that’s good for their people and it’s good for the world. This also means that they are emitting increasingly large quantities of greenhouse gases — which has consequences for the entire global climate.”
Why is Bush lying to the American people and telling them the emission of greenhouse gases has consequences for the entire global climate?
Doesn’t he know global warming is a myth made up by hippies, scientists, CEOs of many of the world’s largest companies, Newt Gingrich, the U.N., and the Masons?
Peace,
Monkey Faced Liberal
It cracks me up that liberal have no sense of irony.
Homos take themselves seriously.
Liberals think homos are great.
Therefore, liberals are seriously homos.
Clearly, logically, and beyond pale of reproach.
That’s an insult to 5-year-old girls. When I was 5 I listened to Rush Limbaugh every day. When I was 7, I stopped speaking to my best friend because she told me how great she thought Bill Clinton was.
Liberalism is for the spoiled teenagers of rich white professors. I’ve grown up with far, far too many of them.
I remember an IMAO reader here who got banned for insulting “teh gays” all the time. “Shimauma” I believe it was.
But you are forgiven (I suspect) Socrates because you equate them with liberals in such a typically liberal way that it IS beyond the pale. And of course, you never argue with the great and powerful blog owners.
I don’t insult gay people by calling them ‘homos’. I don’t insult liberals by calling them ‘homos’.
Why would that be considered an insult?
I thought it was just another lifestyle.
Exactly. Plus a pinch of liberal logic. But pointing out anything – good, bad or indifferent – IS an insult to a liberal. “Homo” … “gay” … “liberal” will all soon be politically incorrect “hate speech.”
I’m reading live blogs from Hot Air and Ace but I have no debate feed on the west coast and live streams aren’t working. Debate is on at 8 PDT. Dang.

Way to waste your life.
Normally, AR, it’s interesting to listen to the debate and read the live blogs. Tonight, ABC won’t carry it live on the west coast. Jerks.
No girls? Dang! Oh well, I can ogle the pretty girls in the T-shirt ads until I calm down. At my age and marital status, all I can do is run to the end of my chain and bark.
If you get right down to it, If you take all the pictures, cartoons and letters to the editors out of the average ‘mens’ magazine, what’s left is pretty darned ‘girly’. Never trust a man who says he ‘only reads the articles’.
When I want to know how to judge a conservative blogger, I go to the publication that is proud to be the first to attack the AIDS crisis by calling for candy bowls full of condoms at gay bath houses. Finger…pulse…on it.
When I was young there were liberals but today they would be considered conservatives. Liberals like Kennedy actually believed in National Security and that taxes could be raised too high. Liberals today have no limits on their lunacy! I truly believe they want to disarm our country, abort every fetus possible, tax every dollar earned so THEY can decide who get’s what, disarm the public and then tell each of us what we shall do and think at all times…comrades!
