If I Was Literate, I Would Love One
The lovely and talented SarahK has decided she wants a Kindle, so I’d thought I’d put up a link so she can buy one and so can anyone else who wants one because I get mad money for anyone who buys a Kindle through my site.
Anyway, when she gets one, I’ll let you know what we think, but I already know everyone who got the first Kindle seemed to love them despite how stoopid it seemed to me. I mean, you can get an X-Box and a couple games at that price. I think my main use for it would be the Wikipedia access from anywhere (with no monthly fee!) and something to put PDF documentation on for any engineering projects at work. Also, I’m really interested to see how different is the screen which is supposed to be the biggest selling point (no more reflective than a piece of paper).
Anyway, click on the banner and buy a Kindle or keep reading off of pieces of pressed wood stained with a black substance like a caveman.
UPDATE:
I forgot; the new version of the Kindle will read aloud to you, so you don’t have to be literate to use one. I have to make sure you can get IMAO on that thing so it can read my wisdom to your kids as they go to sleep.
Obama Says Thirteen Dollars Is “a LOT of Money”
WASHINGTON (AP) – As President Barack Obama brought his case for his stimulus package to the American people, he pointed out that the average American stands to stands to gain $13 a week from the bill’s withholding tax cut provision, which he described as “a LOT of money”.

“During the campaign,” said Obama, “Senator McCain floated the ridiculous notion of a gas tax holiday, which I rightly scoffed at, since it would only save you around 25, 30 dollars. But the tax relief provisions in my stimulus bill will give Americans THIRTEEN dollars a week! That’s a LOT of money! That’s like… half a tank of gas!”
First Lady Michelle Obama was equally enthusiastic about the windfall her husband has planned for the country. “Over a year’s time, that $13 a week will REALLY add up. You’re getting over $600. What can you do with that? Even if it doesn’t pay down every bill every month, maybe it pays down A bill. Barack’s approach is that the short-term quick fix kinda stuff sounds good. And it sure feels good that first month when you get that check. Then you go out and you buy a pair of earrings. No one should be ungrateful or anything about that.”

With like a trillion in spending being proposed, how much more money does that mean for you? $13 a week. Cool beans! I’m going to spend me stimulus on extra comic book consumption. What will you spend it on?
