I’ve actually figured out what Obama is doing. He’s very cleverly taking care of the illegal immigration issue without angering his amnesty-loving fans. By ruining the economy, he’s making it a waste of time for Mexicans to sneak across the border. Soon the wave of illegal immigration will reverse as cash-strapped Americans, despondent and desperate due to the lack of job opportunities in the U.S. start sneaking across the border to Mexico.
Mexico is already complaining that the money that comes from workers here in the status has dropped substantially since the downturn. Evidently the money the illegals send back home is a big part of their economy and they are feeling the pinch enough to complain to the White House about it.
You bad, bad economy. You give people money based on how hard they work and how clever they are. This is mean to people who are lazy and stupid. We’ll show you. We’re going to make you give more money to the lazy and stupid. This will make us feel good about ourselves because it’s so much more fair.
