He Said He Always Lies

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, or “Shaky Mo” as I like to call him, says he lied to the CIA during harsh interrogations. I don’t know how we can tell if he’s telling the truth about that, though.

Oh wait, I do know how: More waterboarding!

  1. Well, humor aside, if we ended up getting actionable intelligence, as is alleged, and then took action and caught more terrorists based on information KSM provided, then i would guess he is lying now.

i mean think of it like the movie dirty harry and the torture scene. Harry tortured the killer to find out where the little girl was buried, and they found her body where he said it would be. Kind of hard to say the killer was lying to stop the torture, then.

By comparison if you torture, or whatever, to get a guy to simply say “I did it,” yes you might reasonably wonder if he is telling the truth.

  2. Truly a shame that all KSM’s lies led to actionable intelligence that prevented the deaths of Thousands. Though Those Thousands were in LA, so it’s six of one, half a dozen of the other. I think he should be waterboarded again for lying. Bad KSM, no Koran or Explosive Suicide vest for you.

  3. I say we waterboard him but first we stick a cattle prod up his rear and hook his jewels up to 12 volts and then show him pictures of a naked Hillary. He won’t stop talking for a month!

  4. If he lied to us, wouldn’t he still be going through extraordinary interrogation? Yeah, like we trusted him to be truthful from the start; we didn’t bother to check his info; and we are so honorable that we only took one shot with the extreme methods. You betcha, buddy.

:::[breaks out in jeering, derisive laughter]:::

  5. Well, the CIA methods are a bit wishy-washy, after all. One good thing, however, is that his claim tends to substantiate Cheney’s position. Apparently, water boarding isn’t a big deal to many of them.

  6. ss396,

You seem to forget that he is selling his lie not to we the researched, but they the “informed”, who take the NYT as pablum and for the inept half-wit inbreds in the White House. Who the hell else would be stupid enough to buy that crap?

  7. So, let’s review: He spilled his guts, and was clearly telling the truth as more terrorists were arrested in the process of launching plots against Americans as a result of information given by him. Now he claims it never happened to try to convince his fellow arab scum that he didn’t sing like a little girl in the shower. Is anyone really buying it?

  8. I thought of something involving rubber tubing, an exacto knife, a gurney, bungi-cords and a 500 ft drop absolutely guaranteed to get the truth out of the second guy it’s tried on, provided that he’s allowed to see what happened to the first guy it was tried on.
This Is still a pg-13 site, right?
    Sorry.

That was the lamest, most uncomfortable moment in the die hard movies. Really that movie was a pretty weak link. The fourth one was actually better, even if it lost the spirit of the movies.
