The Week in Doug

From the audio files:

1) “…On the Daily Caller, they make the case against Herman Cain. They go through all this stuff, frankly, that makes a case FOR Herman Cain… There isn’t much of a case you can make against him, to be perfectly frank, here…”

2) “…[Liberals] have this obsession to control anyone who’s productive in society… It comes from this enormous conviction… [that] they are much smarter than you are…”

3) “…Their war is against capitalism… All we hear is… something is wrong with capitalism. My dear friends, capitalism itself does not condone theft, it does not condone extortion or bribery. Capitalism does not show reckless disregard for the market by picking winners and losers based on ideological policies and predispositions…”

4) “…The left is trying to organize young people because they know that young people are not getting jobs, and they see a growing conservative movement amongst young people… [but] this is a carnival atmosphere [at the Wall Street protests]. This is not the thoughtful atmosphere that exists, for example, in the Tea Party…”

More audio clips here.

And for those who would rather read than listen, gems-a-plenty:

1) “John Kerry says he supports the Wall Street occupiers. He’s a guy who makes a living by marrying rich widows. Maybe he can find every one of those protesters their own rich widow to marry.”

2) “Every time Cain speaks, he scoops up another million votes. And every time the left goes crazy, saying he said something controversial, it’s the thing the left perceives as controversial that is winning the hearts and minds and trust of Americans around the country.”

3) “The next thing the left will try to tell you about Herman Cain is that he got rich by overcharging people for pizza.”

4) “If ignorance is bliss, then the Obamas have got to be ecstatic 24/7.”

5) “These Wall Street protesters and their lunatic demands go so far beyond communism that they practically qualify as some brand of Martians, they are so far out of this world.”

6) “The underlying sickness of liberalism is their sense of entitlement to be given enough power to rule the world according to their definition of ‘fair.'”

7) “This list of demands from the Wall Street Occupiers is a mess of paranoia and entitlement, with a dash of self-pity, a big dose of self-righteousness, and a big spoonful of class warfare, and the biggest ingredient was economic illiteracy.”

8) “With Harry Reid refusing to bring Obama’s jobs bill to a vote, will we be hearing the media start talking about how the Democrats are ‘terrorists’ who are ‘holding America hostage?'”

9) “Is Obama’s new campaign slogan, ‘you need to reelect me so I can keep making the same stupid mistakes for another four years?'”

10) “Obama says he’s a warrior for the middle class. Higher taxes, more fees, more tariffs, a deficit out of control, a government that won’t budget, much less live within a budget, wasteful crony capitalism disguised as green jobs, a healthcare entitlement we can’t afford… somebody tell me: how exactly is that fighting for the middle class?”

On the subject of Herman Cain, you MUST see the interview he had with Lawrence O’Donnell, because in it you see exactly how Herman Cain handles himself under extreme pressure. Lawrence is a complete dick to Cain for the entirety of the interview – there’s just no other word for it. But Cain keeps his head, points out the false premises in the questions, and then proceeds to address the actual issue with firm conviction. This is EXACTLY how liberal media twerps SHOULD be handled by every Republican.

Extrapolate from this how Cain would handle Ahmadinejad or Kim Jong Il.

And to get the bad taste of O’Donnell out of your mouth, check out Cain’s interview on Red Eye and see the man when he’s relaxed and having fun.

  1. On the Daily Caller, they make the case against Herman Cain.

People still read the Daily Caller?

“Today’s headlines: We Try To Make It Look Like Herman Cain Sucks. Plus, an article about Christina Hendricks’ breasts!”

    Rag.

  2. Holy crap. O’Donnell is a total douchebag. There’s really no two ways around it. Oh, and where was O’Donnell objecting to Clinton as POTUS, speaking of people who draft-dodged? I love how he comes back with being offended for those who joined, after Cain told him he was asked to stay on in his role of mathematician because it served more good than if he were in combat. Arse. What a complete buffoon. Dude, I want to give O’Donnell a kick right up the you know what.

  3. Cain hippie face punched O’Donnell without breaking a sweat. As it should be. O’Donnell, by the way, has booboo feelings and everytime I cross hos show while channel surfing he is whing about mean old Herman Cain.
