The scary thing isn’t those whose religion influences their politics; it’s those whose politics are their religion.

It was wrong for Rush to call that girl a slut, but don’t pretend you weren’t all thinking it.

Rush’s point about how if we have to pay for her contraception then she should have to post sex videos was extremely valid, though.

Liberals parade a woman saying she’s going bankrupt from all her sex and get up in arms when she’s called a slut. Seems like entrapment.

We could have political discussion where we don’t call people sluts and wish death on each other. Not saying we should; just saying we could.

What I get from the left is that we’re over the whole right to privacy thing on bedroom stuff and have moved on to subsidizing it.

I know freedom is mildly difficult, but why doesn’t the left try to find a solution using freedom to the contraception problem? For instance, you could start a charity to give out free contraception. Isn’t that better than using the govt to force people to do things?

Unless the goal is to force people to do things they don’t want.

So the White House responded to Rush Limbaugh. Eventually they’ll be spending all their time responding to YouTube commenters.

Kind of find it weird how few of the stories claiming Rush called Fluke a slut actually quote the statement.

I always make fun of undecideds, but SarahK is talking about us caucusing in Idaho on Tuesday, and I realized I’m undecided.

Not as bad as being undecided in the general, though. You’d have to keep your head down a hole for that.

I think I might be a Romney backer. He’s worn me down and grudgingly won my respect. Like John McClane; just can’t knock him down for good.

Of course, I like write in a newspaper now, so I don’t need to not vote and be objective or something stupid?

The left are apparently very ignorant about birth control and its easy availability.

I wish my statements about Fluke caused a national outcry 🙁

If the point of contraception was to allow promiscuity without a lot of out of wedlock births, it’s been an epic failure.

People make fun of abstinence education, but an objective look at the facts says attitudes about sex is the biggest problem.

The left thinks making contraception more available will help things. Can they ever fail so spectacularly that they actually change course?

If you want examples of people desperately clinging to old, failed ideas, look to “progressives.” They threw money at education. It got worse. They made contraception more available, out of wedlock birth skyrocketed. The did a war on poverty, and crime and poverty skyrocketed. And their solutions are always that they just need even more of their failed ideas. Why are they called “liberal” or “progressive”?

In this day and age, Rick Santorum is the radical and iconoclast and the hippie is the tired defender of the status quo.

Celebrated finishing my manuscript by watching the Breaking Dawn Rifftrax. Because that’s how the Flemings roll.

David Frum is a little troll — in a number of different senses of the term. Ignore him.

Did anyone ever find out how Fluke got a $3000 contraception bill? Did she hire a personal bodyguard for her groin?

Manuscript done! The next book will probably be on sale in July… about the time of my blogs 10th anniversary, incidentally.

  1. “Did she hire a personal bodyguard for her groin?”

    Interesting euphemism for “hoo haa.”

How about a new Federal program for Liberals? “Free contraception with sterilization.” That way they’re not inconvenienced with babies and we’re not inconvenienced with future masses of stupid Liberals.

  2. “It was wrong for Rush to call that girl a slut, but don’t pretend you weren’t all thinking it.”
And now advertisers are pulling spots from Limbaugh’s show. I am no fan of Rush, but I am less of a fan of two faced advertisers. I will find out who they are and cease buying their products. If the marxists marer or whatever his name is gets away with calling good women like Sarah Palin and Michel Bachmann a C, then these panty waist companies should be able to stick with Limbaugh. Limbaugh did what marer did not, apologize.

On a personal note. I don’t want anything to do with someone who spends 3 grand on birth control. You never know where that one has been. Must be because she is buying it at the campus book store. We all know what outrageous prices they charge for things.

I keep hearing of this david frum. Is he a person or something?

Is FrankJ ever going to write a book?!

  3. pob – Yes, Frank’s working on a second book. I’ve had a sneak-peek, and it’s pure, distilled, uncut, weapons-grade IMAO-style funny. If you like the site, you will love the book.

  4. FrankJ:

I think it fair for me to say that I speak for most progressives and Obama supporters when I ask you and other conservatives to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE keep talking about how you think contraception is bad, women who use contraception are sluts, and the best solution for out-of-wedlock births, etc. is abstinence education.

    Keep up the good work.

    Best Regards,

    Monkey Faced Liberal

P.S. Good to see you finally deciding to get on the Romney bandwagon. I look forward to hearing you try to delude yourself into thinking he is a good candidate.

    Now, that should be funny.

  5. The only reason I didn’t post a comment simply saying, “That girl is a [censored]” is because it would get me moderated.

That girl is too stupid to be a woman. She is a discredit to her gender just as liberalism is the shame of all highly civilized peoples.

  6. Is the conservative electorate retarded? Evidently so…

The current majority considers Romney and Santorum a viable alternative to Obama. One the policy originator for Obamacare and the other a big labor-big government panderer. Perhaps I missed the difference from what we have now. The other barely notable, a rep from TX with absolutely nothing to his credit as a legislator.

Please vote for Speaker Gingrich. Consider his accomplishments, his candid acknowledgements of sin and failure, and most importantly who despises him from both parties.

  7. @plentyobailouts

a partial list of advertisers dropping rush is carbonite, sleep number, the sleep train, citrix, legalzoom, quickenloans and proflower.

how does one spend $3,000 on birth control? target sells the pills for $9.00 a month and, according to a letter to the editor in the WSJ, walmart is $4.00/month. a quick google gives the price of an abortion in the first timester at $350 to $550. i guess she has about five per year? seems about right for a law student

  8. jw, please do not disparage Ms. Fluke! Her testimony of 3K a month for birth control is a credit to her willingness to share her love with her fellow lib-human. Hmmmm, let’s see 3K equates to how many trysts? Gee, I have no idea how much prostitutes or sluts spend on this kind of love but I’m sure it’s a lot less. Shame on those that would think that her non-student activist bent testimony before congress was in any way prejudiced. I would be proud if my daughter spent 3K of my college dedicated funds for orgies or the Obama re-election.

jw, your hate speech is not appreciated at this forum.

  9. @pieter nosworthy-

    hate speech? i don’t hate her ’cause she’s a slut. i hate her because she’s a lawyer*.

i actually approve of the sluttiness. i just don’t think i should pay for sex unless i’m the one gettin’ it.

*hating lawyers is ok. even mandatory in some circles.

I understand that Obama has made several calls today, including to assure one disturbed young man(?) know that he will, indeed, leave Britney alone, as well as another to inform a redheaded kid that if Obama believed in souls he’d be entitled to one. Apparently, the Obama administration is still attempting to find phone numbers to address the victims of the honey badger.

  12. POB – Just upgraded our spam filter yesterday, and it’s being a touch overzealous on chucking people into moderation. I slipped it some Ritalin, so it should calm down soon. Meanwhile, I’m trying to stay on top of the moderation queue.

  13. @JW “a partial list of advertisers dropping rush is carbonite, sleep number, the sleep train, citrix, legalzoom, quickenloans and proflower.”

Real Americans quit doing business with these people long ago. I say good riddance. Thanks for the info!

  14. You can’t blame a student at “a prestigious law school” for spending (or at least getting ONE bill) for contraception. HELLOO !!??!! She is learning to be a lawyer.. Screwing people is homework for her!

  15. Did anyone ever find out how Fluke got a $3000 contraception bill?

I’m puzzled, myself. Pudgy feminist lawyers-in-training with ugly voices aren’t the sort of women who tempt me.

I think that needs to be the slogan of the Republican campaign. I am going to order up a bumper sticker.

As for Rush, his age is showing. Fluke isn’t a slut, she’s a skank ho. Get with the times, Limbaugh!

  18. “No man demands what he desires; each man demands what he fancies he can get. Soon people forget what the man really wanted first; and after a successful and vigorous political life, he forgets it himself. The whole is an extravagant riot of second bests, a pandemonium of pis-aller.”
― G.K. Chesterton, What’s Wrong with the World

Between elections we moan about the politicians not being Conservative enough, and during the election every candidate argues that he’s more Conservative than his opponents, and then we listen to the experts who boldly and endlessly pronounce that a Conservative candidate can’t win?
    Have I got that right?

Frank, for that thought, I will definitely buy your book!
