Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said that if the debt limit must be raised by another $2.4 trillion, “we’ll raise it.”
Amazing how that line in the sand always ends up being more sand than line.
[Seriously, Harry needs to wake up and have himself an Alec Guinness moment]

Exactly why should Republicans offer any concessions to this lying dirtbag who swore he would never cooperate with a Romney administration? As far as I can tell, “bipartisanship” means conservatives giving liberals everything they want.
So, you’re saying that Republicans shouldn’t fall for the “spending cuts tied to tax increases” line, like Reagan did? Don’t worry, Boehner’s too smart for that…cough…cough…sputter…wheeze…gak
Why do we even have a debt limit…it serves no purpose.
It serves the very useful purpose of calling attention to Congress’s profligate spending every time they have to raise it.
