Blindingly Obvious Analogy Completely Lost on Liberal Idiot

[High Praise! to The Astute Bloggers]

A liberal I work with was complaining about the gasoline situation on Long Island.

Said it took him until yesterday to find a gas station and be able to fill his tank.

He was really upset that the gas station charged him $4.45/gallon – about .40 cents more than before the storm.

Called him a “GREEDY PRICE-GOUGER!”

I laughed.

Perhaps the gas cost him more?

And why not complain about the fact that under Obama, the price of gasoline HAS DOUBLED!?!?

The thought had never entered his CLOSED liberal mind.

Wisdom of the Day: Hostess

Romney Post-Morterm from Right-Wing Bloggers

John Hawkins of Right-Wing News polled a number of right-leaning bloggers (including me) on thoughts about Romney and his campaign. Here are the results.

So basically no one really liked Romney in the first place and then he failed to engage conservatives. Lessoned learned: We need an even squisher RINO for 2016!

Or me. Because I am running on the “destroy government from the inside” platform. I’ll have to see if John Hawkins can poll on me and my strong, anti-whining viewpoint. Maybe if I can get right-wing bloggers behind me, we can really get my campaign going.

Can’t Annoy a Rich Person Without Devestating Someone in the Middle Class

Line I’ve seen a number of times already: “Twinkies can survive a nuclear apocalypse, but they can’t survive the Obama economy.”

Yes, because of failed union negotiations, Hostess is shutting down.

Now, I’m sure the owner of Hostess is devestated; it has to hurt to have to close your business — especially one that has been open for so long. So the union really taught him a lesson. But he’s probably pretty rich, and I’m guessing personally he’ll be okay. The 18,000 workes who are being layed off will probably not fare as well.

This reminds me of a rock solid rule I laid out in my book (has anyone really not bought that by now?): “You can’t mildly inconvenience rich people without devastating the middle class and the poor.”

I compare trying to go after the rich to trying to headbutt someone’s fist. You do it really hard, you can really scratch up their knuckles, but you’ll be the worst off person in that situation. And we’re in a blame the rich mode thanks to Obama. Those nasty rich not giving us everything we think we deserve, so we’re going to go after them and their businesses, and we’ll probably annoy them a lot and make them very upset… all while leaving thousands and thousands unemployed.

I guess we have to ask ourselves: How many unemployed middle class and poor people is worth the tear of a rich man? We might all be suffering, but at least we’ll know that a rich person is a bit annoyed. And that’s worth… what?

Random Thoughts: Stuck with Obama

Is Romney planning to run for anything again? If not, might as well say what he really thinks.

Frankly, I think every politician should be subjected to sleep deprivation and truth serum until he tells us what he really thinks.

Thomas & Friends does put a lot of emphasis on being useful, so maybe watching it will help keep Buttercup from becoming a hippie.

The name “Buttercup” probably didn’t help with that.

My uncle is keeping his business under 50 employees to comply with Obamacare.

Well, we know how everyone was saying we need less jobs and things more expensive to get this economy going.

You shouldn’t be racist towards any race, but some races you should be more not racist to than others.

The president is kind of a useless moron. How much longer are we stuck with him?

We all at least get free phones, though, right?

Freedom isn’t free, but I’m guessing it’s at least a few trillion a year less that what we’re paying for our government.

Going to teach all my kids Call of Duty skills so eventually we can pwn as a family.

Has Nate Silver done the odds on me one day getting a Social Security check?

I’m not sure Obama has more business knowledge than the goobers on the internet saying “Papa John’s can easily afford those extra expenses!”

People fear for the human race, but we’re the only species with access to nuclear weapons so I don’t know how another could take us out.

I hope in 2016 they clearly identify which of the GOP hopefuls is electable so we’ll know not to elect him.

If Hamas wants more American sympathy, they should try not being a bunch of murderous terrorists as we don’t like those.

Screw It. I’m Blaming Caesar

[High Praise! to Sondrakistan]

“…Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the ‘new, wonderful, good society’ which shall now be Rome’s, interpreted to mean: more money, more ease, more security, more living fatly at the expense of the industrious.” – Cicero

Also, this quote may not actually be from Cicero. For that, I blame the internet.

And for that, I blame Al Gore.

*shaking fist skyward*

GOOOOOOOOORE!
