The problem with the Ray Rice story is that he didn’t hit his wife. He hit her BACK. She’d hit him twice and spit on him.
If women want equal rights, they should expect that when they hit a man, he’ll hit her back. Where’s the campaign telling women “It’s never OK to hit a man”?
Everyone has the right to defend themselves from their attacker, even when the attacker is a woman and the defender is a man.
Ray Rice should have put her over his knee and spanked her, Like John Wayne did to Maureen O’Hara in the movie McClintock.
