  1. “The State is concerned with the perpetuation of The State.”

    Indeed, in a statist society.

    In a non-statist society, the State exists only to protect the liberty of its citizens and has no vested interest in what that liberty creates.

    So, to me, the State should have no vested interest in “marriage,” one way or another.

  2. Sadly, the “state” today isn’t the same “state” that benefited from working married people having kids. Now they are encouraged to abort them while the people who are 98% guaranteed to produce multiple burdens on the “state” are rewarded for doing it. Not sure why you’d want to have total control over 150+ million stupid people but that’s obviously the only goal.
