I found the answer bizarre, but then again, I can’t fathom how Cockney Rhyming Slang exists, either.

  1. In the Japanese movie “Ran”, considered to be their version of “King Lear” one of the brothers from 13th century Japan says “OK”. It was translated into English subtitles as “All right”.
