Some east coast states are considering taxing drivers according to the number of miles they travel.
Apparently the gas tax isn’t bringing in enough money. Maybe they shouldn’t have killed all the gas-guzzlers in Cash-for-Clunkers

Some east coast states are considering taxing drivers according to the number of miles they travel TWICE…since they (aka their voters) are too stupid to figure out that the more miles you drive, the more gas you BUY, therefore, paying more gas tax and if you think they’re going to get rid of the gas tax and do this instead, you’re probably one of those voters.
On the bright side all those holier than thou electric car drivers are going to have to pony up their fair share of money to keep the roads they use in good repair. Good liberals one and all I am sure they won’t object.
I have a solution! Charge the 17 people who have electric cars $50/mile they drive, double their electric rates and then disconnect them from any power line that has a coal fired plant attached to it.(oh wait….that’s all of them, oh well). Then they will be doing their fair share!!11!!
While they’re at it, charge d’bags on bicycles $1000/mile since their stupid ass bike lanes cause people to use wayyyyy more gas.
I drove up a road that used to be 2 lanes in both directions and is now one the other day, didn’t get over 15 mph the whole way and didn’t see a single bike. Good work liberals! At 15 mph +/- 10, my 6000 lb van gets about 5 mpg.
Don’t forget, just cause you don’t drive a car you still derive benefits from those that do and if you walk any where… well, sidewalks ain’t free neither.
Also, there are people that burn a lot of fuel sitting in traffic for 2 hours to go 5 miles. They’d be getting off easy with the mileage tax. Dems are creating an un-level playing field.
