Singapore is on a completely different planet from us, but your conclusion is spot-on. Progressive thought dictates that what is permitted today must be required tomorrow. So yes, robot cars will be mandated. And you will be forced to use them, or you will be eliminated. For your own good, of course.
In 2011, My son’s new car came with a rear view camera. I told him that in a few years, they would be mandatory, he listed out a half dozen reasons why it was a bad idea. I told him that only proved I was right.
And yes, at some point, the feds will try to mandate self driving cars. I give it 20 years, until the millennials are in control.
