I’m Planning to Open a Christian Bakery on Campus

The University of Nebraska’s new PC-embracing chancellor told new students “We take action when we observe something or someone being treated unfairly or in a demeaning manner”.

Wonder if it involves mandatory cake-baking?

  1. Chancellor Green wrote in a post to the student body:

“Our beliefs on diversity and inclusion represent the way we operate. They are not-negotiable [sic].”

He refers to the university’s “Statement of Beliefs,” which says:

“We respect and seek out inclusion of differences,”
[Differences that haven’t been involved in a negotiation]

“realizing we can learn from each other.”
[As long as we don’t learn about opposing negotiating positions]

“Actions and words matter. The absence of action and words also matter [sic].”
[An absence that might occur, for example, when not negotiating]

“We believe in the freedom of speech,”
    [Except negotiation]

“and encourage the expression of ideas and opinions.”
[As long as they are not negotiation]

“We know how to share criticism of ideas with respect.”

  2. The University of Nebraska is, of course, one of our finest institutions of higher learning. The faculty and administrators there think so highly of knowledge that they put its initial letter on the helmets of the football team.
