A New York Times editorial said that the new Washington Post slogan – Democracy Dies in Darkness – “sounds like the next Batman movie“.
Really? I thought it sounded like a Sesame Street episode that was brought to you by the letter “D”.

It is a rather grand and puffed-up slogan for a paper that runs advertisements – big ones – on its front page. But I suppose “Garbage In, Garbage Out” was already taken. It’s still good for starting fires and stuffing boxes when there are no styrofoam peanuts, so the Post isn’t entirely worthless.
“That is not dead which can eternal lie…”
I thought it was from the South Park episode where all the goths turn into emos.
