Roy Clark died last week.
Here’s one of my favorites by him.
He also sang some serious songs.
And he could play the guitar. And more.
You can talk about Roy Clark. Or you can pick a topic. Totally up to you, because it’s Monday Night Open Thread.
Who wants to start?

He was a fine fiddle player too.
Roy did 2 or 3 episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies playing “Cousin Roy” the bumpkin virtuoso come to LA to seek fame & fortune. Much of it pokes fun at the phoniness of the music industry. His first episode ends with Jethro as his agent who has Roy dress in a Little Lord Fauntleroy outfit and sing a silly version The Great Pretender.
You have to love a guy so incredibly talented yet doesn’t take himself too seriously.
“And Buck Owens!”
Thanks for remembering a great artist and a fine American.
My dad never missed Hee Haw back in the day. He was a big (old school) country music fan, but I’m guessing that wasn’t the only reason he liked the show…
Might’ve been the jokes…
Call BR-549 to order all re-runs of the show on betamax for just $2.99
