  1. My oldest daughter worked once as an extra portraying a member of a jury on a Jake and the Fatman episode. She had the same thing to say about the experience as this article does. She got thirtyfive dollars for the day plus lunch. She said the food was very good. The extras spent most of their time waiting for the shots to be set up and it was a pretty boring experience. I asked her if she’d ever do it again and her answer was no!

  2. My brother-in-law has been a frequentn extra on TV shows, as Portland OR is a popular location for production. He even held the door open for Reese Witherspoon when she was there filming “Wild”-said she was a very pleasant person. And that, as Weird Al said, is my “Lame Claim to Fame”
