Sunday Night Open Thread

I love old movies. Were it nor for “The General” this would be my favorite Buster Keaton film.

When you lower the camera angle about 3 feet, muppets look very much like something that sane people would never do on purpose.

Saturday Night Open Thread

Scott Walker died this week. He was a member of The Walker Brothers, who only had two Top 40 hits in the U.S., although they had many more hits in the U.K.

Scott Walker wasn’t actually Scott Walker. He was Scott Engle. John Walker (who died in 2011) was John Maus. And the other Walker Brother, Gary, who is still living, was Gary Leeds. Kinda like The Statler Brothers, none of whom are named Statler, except the Statler Brothers never used Statler as their individual names. Now I want to play a Statler Brothers song.

But I won’t. I’ll stay on topic. Scott Walker’s passing caused me to recall their biggest hit, which didn’t even hit the Top 10. I liked it though.

Matter of Perspective

Nancy Pelosi said she wouldn’t accept the Attorney General’s conclusion on the Mueller report, dismissing it as merely his “interpretation“.

Interesting approach. At my next audit, I think I’ll try rejecting the IRS’s “interpretation” of my 1040.
