And in my part of north Austin it’s also associated with having your dog sprayed by skunks in your own backyard, deer standing in the road all hours of the night, angry foxes hissing and growling at you, and the neighbors’ pictures of bobcats and mountain lions strolling through their property. Idyllic indeed.
Mowing your lawn removes some of the greenness. I give it one or two years before lawns are banned in favor of leaving natural flora in place.
How do the define “Walking Distance”? These days you probably need to have grass in your living room.
