Open thread, that is. You must relate your week’s most worthless stray thoughts.
Why do so much peanut butter and jelly have to be abandoned in every jar of each?
Why is it so difficult to remove a belt from a pair of slacks you aren’t wearing? They both fight you every step of the way.
And I kinda hope Walrus didn’t book his flight to Vegas on the Day of Rage.

Already booked and counting down. Going dark on 11/8. Good luck gentlemen.
Oh. Good. 11/8 is a long way away. You can plug in some posts for whilst you’re gone.
No man, going completely dark. Your on your own.
Heh. I just created a thread that I want you to see before you go. So I’ll post it here and now (at the top of the hour).
Talk about going dark.
This week’s most worthless stray thought:
Oh, the playoffs are on. I guess that means MLB is still a thing.
Why do so much peanut butter and jelly have to be abandoned in every jar of each?
Bruh, they came out with this super cool thing called a spatula. Get one with the right shape, and you can get it all out and spread it too. They are also good for use on interns.
My spatula is the size of a fried egg. Not getting the PB&J jars. Nope.
Guess I gotta buy a new one.
That’s what most people do when they can no longer get peanut butter out of their current jar.
I think he means the kind ya use to scrape a mixing bowl.
Though, I guess if the intricate mechanics of pb&j are a struggle, maybe I’m expecting a bit too much of your baking tool inventory.
Look, it’s difficult, OK? You get it out.
I just finished writing a recommendation letter for a student to receive a grant from NASA.
I couldn’t quite decide if letting them know I thought he’s a space cadet would be a positive or not. I left it out.
Columbo (rubbing head) : “So, The spatula question was deferred to a later time?”
Wow! I want you to recommend me for a grant from NASA!
Not gonna happen, True Detective.
But check out a post tomorrow at 3:00 Eastern.
Also there’s one on 10/17 I think you might like, but I have to go search for the time.
{Returns later:}
Oh, it’s a Straight Line. Waiting builds character.
Dear NASA
Oppo is definitely a space cadet.
Respectfully,
Fangbeer.

He will fill out your diversity quota nicely. He’s a white male who has taken math classes.
