Someone thinks this is the flag the first man on Mars should plant:

The flag is blue to represent the importance of water to life on Earth. Seven rings (standing in for the seven continents) interlock to form a flower, suggesting the interconnection of the world, regardless of territory or nationality.
Personally, I say “flag of the Mirror Universe Terran Empire, or nothing”:

What say you?

I think Old Glory would look great against the Martian landscape.
I’m with Dodsfall.
And the blue flag looks like a bar napkin; or something from Planet Bubbles.
Open fire on all flags with flowers. Spock With A Beard or no Spock at all!
Let the branches compete to see who gets a guy up there first, and they get to pick the flag. Could be Coasties on Mars!
Oh that’s just great. So all the martians will think we’re hippies and sissies, and that’ll be all the basis they need for a full scale invasion.
That blue flag looks more appropriate for a polygamists’ house.
Seven rings (standing in for the seven continents)…
Yes, Antarctica’s contribution to the space program is often overlooked.
Not that it would matter. No one will ever see it, and it will be bleached white in a few years no matter what color it starts as.
As long as the Martians understand that the center ring is Murica (and those two countries that act as our hat and shoes), then the flag is OK with me.
It should be a Skull and Crossbones….
