  1. @3 – Almost, but not quite. You could bend a metal hanger into about the right shape, but then you have to hold it by the wire hook while you wrap it. That’ll cut into your fingers and make you miserable as you wrap more weight onto it.

    But I suppose you can give it a shot. If you do, please report back.

  2. I hate to burst anyone’s bubble, but my dad the electrical guy required all cords to be figure 8 wrapped (around your bent elbow and palm works nicely) before storage. I’ve been storing my lights wrapped around particle board strips and secured with zip ties for about 40 years. Same deal. Although if they can get the money to manufacture it, I hope they make a fortune. Serves me right for not thinking of doing it.
