Ever tap a Coke that’s been shaken? You know, to stop it from spewing all over the place? It works. But do you know why? (Spoiler: I knew.)
Yeah, I ran a rather unscientific test on that a while back, and came to the same conclusion.
What’s on your mind? Got something you’d like to share? Or just talk about? It’s Wednesday Night Open Thread.
Who wants to start?

I knew that too……have you ever tapped someones beer bottle on top with your bottle and watch it spew all over?
We’re getting pretty close to Christmas, so it’s time for some Christmas stuff. Or sort of Christmas stuff…………..

This guy is demonstrating what news reporters would be doing during a Hillary! presidency.
Frances Bavier, who played Aunt Bee on the Andy Griffith show, was born December 14, 1902, in New York City. If you’ll excuse me now, I need to take that apple pie out of the oven.
Did you know that there is no one alive on Earth today that was born in the 19th century?
The 19th Century ended 12/31/1900. Nabi Tajima was born 8/4/1900, and, unless she died last night, is still the last person living born in the 19th Century.
Well my statement will be true soon. It appears other places missed that as well. Thank you for catching my error. How about there are no cats still alive today that were born before 1985? If you don’t include Damncat.
How can you not include Damncat? No discussion of cats is complete without him.
A distant relative got his BS in aeronautical engineering some years ago. They ran an experiment to measure the internal pressure by measuring relaxation in a soda can after you open it using strain gages. Their results were 75 psi, which agrees with the theoretical number for the pressure required to dissolve carbon dioxide in water at room temperature.
I liked the old pull-tab cans when after you shook the can, you could spray your best friend.
I didn’t like those pull-tab cans. My best friend used to shake them and spray me with them.
